Double Room in the country side of San Gimignano, at 5 minutes by car from town center. The room is inside Montegonfoli Farm, a farm of the 17th century made of some building, a sort of a "micro town", sourrounded by property olive trees (about 1000), vineyards, private forest with a small river. For many months, usually from mid April to mid October, the swimming pool is available for the guests. The room has a 160x200cm large bed, a large bathroom with bidet and shower, a nice area outside.
The Montegonfoli Farmhouse is placed on top of an hill with an amazing view on San Giminano and on Tuscany hills. The farmouse is made of some ancient buildings of the Seventeen century, and it's featured by about 1000 olive trees, 2.6ha of vineyard (Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Chianti Colli Senesi, both DOCG), 5ha of "fields of gold" and 9ha of amazing forest featured by a small river for "in house" nice excursions and light trekking activities. The town of San Gimignano is very close, and Siena and Florence can be reached very quickly, as well as all the other attractions of Tuscany. Roma city center (Saint Peter church) is 2,5h from Montegonfoli.
This room is on the ground floor and can host up to 2 people with a 160x200cm large bed, a large bathroom with bidet and shower, a wonderful view from all the room windows and from the "private" terrace over the San Gimignano Hills. The pictures can't show in its beauty, its wide angle view at 180°. We are on the top of the highest hill, and in the clean days you will see hills and mountains for hundreds of kilometers/miles. All the guests tell us that the place is more beautiful than what they imagined watching the pictures.

Échanges avec les voyageurs
Two large families manage the farm, and one of us will always be in place to assist you during your stay. We are social people, and we like to interact with guests and share our italian lifestyle, and what we know about attractions, and italian food, but we will always leave your space.
The San Gimignano town added a "fair" accomodation tax, that is 1,50Euro per person per night, for the first 5 nights of consecutive stay. Babies under 12yo are not subject to the accomodation tax. This tax should be paid on site and it is not included in the room price, as well as the breakfast. We have a small "BAR" where you can get Coffee, Cappuccino, etc.,or the full italian breakfast, that lists 5,00Euro per person, and if you wish to have a continental breakfast made of fresh food, our neighbours that have a social restaurant, offer it every morning with a rate of 10,00Euro per adult. They are at the next door, 30m from our gate. They have a small shop with organic products made on site, including honey, zafferano, etc.
Our house has few rules , beyond those suggested by common sense and good manners .
Although we love animals, currently pets are not allowed.
Smoking is allowed, but kindly ask our guests not to smoke indoors, and, in public areas, to respect children and pregnant ladies, also outside.
Many people come to our place to relax and enjoy the magical silence of our position, so we ask kindly to respect other guests, without generating too much noise and try not to monopolize the common areas (pool, barbecue area, laundry ).
Breakfast is not included, it can be requested at an additional cost of 5,00Euro per person (Italian, consisting of coffee, cappuccino, croissants) or you may simply order what you want. If our guests desire to have a continental breakfast, our neighbors, a few meters from us, are happy to offer it using organic products of their production, at a cost of 10,00Euros per person in their "Social" restaurant.
The WIFI is free and is provided in the social area and around the pool; in the winter of 2016 it should be extended to all of the apartments.
In autumn and spring, if the indoor temperature requires for it, the heating is provided free of charge for two hours a day. Extra heating, if requested by the guests, is charged per its real gas consumption.
The laundry is shared and is a small building that includes a washing machine and a quite large area for drying clothes. In order to avoid "crowding" the access is usually void to the guests who will stay one night only. The soap/powder is usually not provided, as well as the coal for the barbecue.
Note: Italian laws compell us to ask your documents at the check IN. Extra EU guests must show their passports, ID cards or driving licences are not legal.
À partir du 23 juin 2018 - 25 août 2018, la durée minimum de séjour est de 4 nuits.

Dear Airbnb Community,
thank you for reading my profile and considering to spend some of your time with me or my team in Montegonfoli :-) I'm a very social person, probably because I was born in the south of ltaly. I love to meet new people and new cultures and being an host allows me to discover several things and places while being in Italy. My daily job is into high tech, I'm one of the fathers of the world's most important video editing software ( and I'm editor for the leading italian high tech magazine ( At the same time I love old Italian lifestile, nature, countryside and San Gimignano, as well as sea and the other places where I grew up (Naples and Amalfi Coast). I love the good and healty food, as well as cooking it; I make my own bread, pizza and cookies using my self made natural yeast. I make olives (under salt or brine), dried figs, capers, egg plants and special liquors (just the ones that you can't find in a shop, but sorry, they are not for sale). If you're lucky, you could taste my famous "Pizza alle cipolle caramellate", "charamelized onions" :-)
My current fitness program consists in growing up 2 nice babies and 20Km per day by bicicle. I have several hobbies, probably too many, including "urban agricolture" of my time to make vegetables for me and my babies without using any chemicals.
I love photography and I made almost all the pictures of all the listings using a very old bridge camera; poor low light performances but great tele and macro.
My life motto is "BENISSIMO" and I love the people who smile :-), and I'm very happy to give and return as much smiles as possible :-)
Hope to meet all of you soon!
