THE BLUE HEAVEN is a peaceful little room with a brand new soft carpet for one person in an elegant old style Woodstock artist's home. It has a soft new carpet which is a treat for the feet! We are located in a safe neighborhood on the NYC bus route 10 minutes on foot to the center of town. The bathroom is right next door in the hall and is shared with 2 - 4 other guests. (Not comfortable sharing a bathroom? Check out our another listing "The Artist's Room" for one person which has its own private bathroom).
There is free parking, wi-fi, a washer/dryer available as well as TV downstairs in the living room if you'd like to hang out there. Coffee & Tea are available for you to make throughout the day (kitchen). I provide food and drinks for breakfast and you may use the kitchen to make it the way you like.
We have a garden outside filled with flowers in the summer and a little table with chairs on the back porch where you can have breakfast, a drink, or read during nice weather.
You can walk to almost everything from here and be in the center of town within minutes. Art galleries, musical events, and outdoor markets are a couple blocks away. The luxurious River Rock Health Spa is just down the road as is a yoga/pilates studio, bike rental shop, Chinese and new gourmet pizza restaurant with an authentic Italian brick oven. We are a 10 minute drive from the Tibetan Monastery, Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, and 20 minutes from towns of Kingston and Saugerties with its famous HITS (Horses In The Sun).
If you love nature, and serenity you can enjoy peaceful walks and spectacular scenery year round at the exquisite Cooper Lake about 4 miles away. Don't forget to bring your camera for the magnificent photo opps. We are also right next door to one of the main International Film Festival venues.
Our house is on the main street that runs through the town so you do hear some traffic sounds though it's fairly quiet at night. Most people are not bothered by it, but if you are very sensitive to sound bring ear plugs just in case. People with pet allergies should note that I have two resident cats, "Fifi" who is friendly and "Peanut" a very shy girl. If you want to bring a pet, it must be good with cats. Please inquire first.

I am from Woodstock NY and have many interests though my passions are animals, nature, and traveling! I also love ethnic music and dance, photography, art, hiking, plants, and foreign languages. My professional background is in holistic and natural approaches to healing using products and services that are in harmony with nature :(website hidden) and (website hidden). As I love the adventures of traveling I also love welcoming and introducing people to this unusual town of music, art. mountains and natural beauty. In fact, I am building a travel blog called Psychedaboutravel which is geared towards ecotourism - nature, wildlife, and learning about other cultures. It's (URL HIDDEN) site which you can check out and read the blog post on free things to do in Woodstock!
