Guests can interact as much or as little as they wish and I will be available to advise on tour routes or day trips if necessary. I am a non smoker and I love my guests enjoy their cigarette smoking in the garden rather than inside the house.
Respect, care and cleanliness are values that I like.

A lovely convivial hostess who was very knowledgable and glad to help out with tips and pointers about her area - a pleasure to chat to - and an equally lovely home full of charm and grace! She went out of her way to make us comfortable and we could not have felt more welcome. The location was perfect for exploring on our first trip to Longford too. I would recommend a stay here to anyone.

The room was very comfortable and as described in the listing, and convenient to town. Anne Ita is a terrific host, welcoming and friendly. She shared her home with us and assisted us in making contact with a local official who in turn gave us a guided tour of the town and its characters. Highly recommended!

The rooms are very cute and cozy and the shared bathroom was clean and well equipped. Our host went far beyond our expectations in her hospitality. Knowing that we were interested in searching for traces of our ancestors in the Longford area, she put us in contact with people at the public library and a priest at the diocese, who all also generously gave us pricless gifts of research from their records. Our host saved us time and frustration by locating the bus that would take us to yhe small town of Drumlish. She also made and served us lovely breakfasts on beautiful Irish plates and teacups, along with much friendly conversation. It was a pleasant experience. One little minus, and this was in no way the host's fault, was that the rooms are on the second floor of the house, meaning there are stairs to climb. I wish AirBnB would require this type of information for those of us who fail to pack light.

Anita was very helpfull, she told us a lot about the surrounding of Longford and Longford itself. She showed us the way to the Colrea way, that was an interesting excursion. Anita is friendly and we have some nice conversations.

As a family we had the pleasure of hosting many international guests over the years through an organisation called Servas and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I am passionate about my garden, music, cooking and travel and the area where we live - Co Longford. We have the most amazing bogland and forest walks not to mention the rivers Shannon (10mns drive), Camlin (in Longford town) and the Inny River (15 mns drive) and the Royal Canal. We also enjoy cycling, walking and horse-back riding (mostly hacking). Our house is 5 mns walk from the Railway Station and Bus Station. Trains connect with Dublin and Sligo several times daily. Buses connect with Dublin, Galway, Ballina, Sligo and Belfast also on a daily basis. You can also get a bus directly from Dublin Airport to Longford. Go to the Information Desk on arrival and ask for details.
