Although in the 2nd row of the houses close to the center of the village, it is still a peaceful place to take rest because the whole house is situated at the dead-end of the street. 100 meters away from post, market on one side and the same distance to the beach on the other side. WiFi, parking lot. 3 real beds + pull-out sofa for 2.
Terrace (6 square meters) available 5 meters from the apartment.
600 meters away from our home is bus stop with directions to Makarska, Omiš, Split and Trogir /west/, and Dubrovnik /east/.
MAKARSKA - MAKARSKA itself is the pearl of Makarska riviera and the local center for shopping. MAKARSKA RIVIERA is said to be the most beautiful part of Croatian coast for its pebbled beaches and the huge mountain almost touching the sea. Where else in the world you can swim in the sea and be at the top of the mountain /1762 m/in 90 mins?
BIOKOVO MOUNTAIN - Biokovo mountain stretches throughout the whole Makarska riviera and forms a beautiful and gigantic background for it - Mediterannean phennomenon; if you are lucky with the weather, from the top of the Biokvo (1762 m) you can see Italy as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina! Standing on the 2nd highest peak of Croatia you will see three countries... Amazing, isn't it? Part of the Biokovo mountain is a Naures Park - Why to go there? the view is spectacular; variety of Mediterranean vegetation, remnants of ancient stone made houses, prehistorical burial grounds called "Gomilas“ etc. Easily accessible by bicycles.
ISLANDS OF BRAC AND HVAR:
BRAC: 12 km westward in the town of Makarska are the ferry lines to island of BRAČ /famous after (1) the stone; the white limestone columns of the White House are made from the Brač white limestone; Diocletian's Palace in Split and the Canadian National Vimy Memorial; (2) cheese; (3) remnants of early Christian churches; (4) unique BLACA hermitage /UNESCO World Heritage Site/; (5) DRAGON'S CAVE).
HVAR - to reach HVAR, there are ferry lines from DRVENIK, 12 kms eastward. HVAR is a famous ancient Greek colony, its known for the fields of aromatic lavender, first public theater in Europe /built in 1612/, and a mass number of archeological/historical sites.
KORCULA island with it's major city Korcula. To reach it, you can use Adriatic coast, driving through Peninsula Peljesac, and then 10 mins boat drive, or ferry from Drvenik, 12 km eastward from Drasnice. It is said that MARCO POLO was born in the town of Korcula; the house he was born is turned into small museum. Korcula island also has a long history, and was an ancient Greek colony just like Hvar. As a matter of fact, both the island's names derive from Greek words, Pharos /Hvar/, and Korkyra /Korcula/.
STON - 90 km from Drasnice on the way to Dubrovnik or Korcula; famous after the 2nd highest defense walls in the world. Worth seeing it!!!
DUBROVNIK - is one of the UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites. The whole ancient core of the town is stone made, with it's huge massive defense walls. 140 kms from Drasnice.
SPLIT – 70 kms – ancient city, famous after its Diocletian's palace /4th century/, the only Roman palace well preserved in the World. The palace is story for itself. The people are still living within its walls; the major part of life is happening there... It is the pure center of the city; you can see the Jupiter's temple /turned into Christian church/, as well as Diokletian's mausoleum /turned into Christian cathedral – the oldest cathedral in the world by the time the building was built – before the Christianity was officially allowed in Roman empire!!!/
SALONA – 75 kms – remnants of Roman city with amphitheater, churches, sarcophagus es....
TROGIR – 90 kms – another city built on the ancient Greek colony. Marvelous stone built city core with 13th century cathedral, famous after its carvings.
MOSTAR – 110 kms – in Bosnia and Herzegovina; famous after the stone bridge, unlike the normal construction joined together by cement etc..here they used EGG YOLKS !!!
SARAJEVO – 250 kms – capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, multi ethnic city with a numerous historical monuments. Islam, Catholic and Orthodox culture make it unique at Balkan area.
VISOKO - 270 kms (BiH); first European pyramids, and it seems, the oldest in the world so far!!!
Upon arrival, submit identification documents of all guests to the host for registering with the tourist agency, if this hasn’t been already done at the agency's reception.
The expenses of the rent of accommodation are paid in person to the host, if the reservation doesn’t say otherwise.
The guest is responsible for cleaning of the apartment. The host is not required to clean and tidy up.
The host has no right to enter the rented apartment or use the guest's personal belongings without prior announcement to and permission from the guest. The host can enter the apartment in the absence of the guest only when there is reason to believe that the apartment or guest is in danger or that the guest violated the house rules.
The host is at your service during your stay for all information and help. The host is not required or responsible to organize your leisure time and animate you.
The host is not responsible for the guest's belongings, but will do anything in his or her power to protect and warn the guest of possible dangers.
The guest is not allowed to bring easily inflammable and explosive materials and objects with a strong or unpleasant smell into the apartment. Moreover, the guest cannot bring electric appliances without the host's permission. The power consumption included in the price of accommodation does not include uncommon additional appliances that use electricity, and for every appliance found in the apartment, additional expenses will be charged in accordance with the estimated power consumption, regardless of whether they have been used or not.
No pets allowed.
To change bed linen (sheets and pilllow case) every 7 days /if staying 14 days or more/.
From 12PM to 8AM is the period of night rest, so guests are responsible for maintaining an appropriate level of peace and quiet. Don’t disturb the host and his or her neighbors, and other guests in the house.
Please take good care of the rented room or apartment, and turn of electric appliances and taps.
It is strictly forbidden to bring persons who are not users of accommodation into the room or apartment. In case unregistered persons or persons that are not announced during reservation are found in the room, the host and agency have the right to cancel accommodation. Guests from other apartments in the house or from other houses that are not owned by the host do not have the right to visit or stay in the apartment without his or her explicit consent.
The guest who causes damage to property on purpose or by accident will have to make restitution for the full amount of damage. At the day of his or her departure, the guest is obliged to invite the host to check in his or her presence all rooms and house appliances to prove that they are not damaged. Only then is the guest allowed to depart. All unreported damages will be claimed afterwards in a lawsuit against the guest.
At the day of the departure, you are required to leave the room until 10 a.m. so that it can be cleaned and prepared for other guests. Staying in the apartment after that time unconditionally entails payment of 100 % of the daily rent without the possibility of further stay in the accommodation unit.
You are obliged to leave the room or apartment you rented as you found it upon arrival –clean, tidy and undamaged.
The guest who violates house rules and disturbs the peace will be unconditionally refused accommodation.
In case the host or agency cancels accommodation due to violation of house rules, the guest will be required to pay the total amount for accommodation during the reserved period, regardless of the shorter stay.
It is implied that, upon arrival and checking in, the guest is familiar with the house rules and agrees to obligations and conditions prescribed by it. Any disputes that cannot be resolved in agreement with the hotel or agency will be resolved through police intervention or in legal proceedings before the court. Complaints will be considered only if they have been reported during the stay. Subsequent complaints will not be taken into consideration. If the guest doesn’t comply with these provisions, he or she is obliged to leave the accommodation unit.
