With lovely views, the lodge is comfortable, warm and well equipped; oodles of hot water, comfy bed and plump pillows. Have a techno detox and discover North Norfolk. Ideal for cycling, walking, birding. 10 minutes to coast. Relax and enjoy - a total getaway.

The lodge has a private wooden deck with garden furniture, accessed from the living room with lovely views over green paddocks and fields to the woodlands beyond. Perfectly placed to enjoy the setting sun, and views all year round. You are welcome to wander in the paddocks and there are lovely walks from the doorstep.

The cottage is well equipped, a good home from home, offering a comfortable stay. Oodles of hot water, central heating from our biomass boiler means you will always be cosy and warm even mid winter. Lounge/ dining area, tv, kitchen with fridge/ freezer compartment, oven and hob, microwave, and bathroom with shower/tub. King size bed.

We live on site, and are always happy to help with any queries, we love to welcome our guests into the cottages, but do offer the key safe option if guests prefer not to have the time pressure of arriving dot on time!

The cottages have private access and lots of off-road parking. Only the driveway itself is shared. Lots of outside space, guests are welcome to relax on the lawn or wander in the paddocks; and the deck with the glorious uninterrupted views offer peace and quiet. Come and go as you please, make it your own.

We live on site, but not overlooking the lodge, and are always very happy to help with any questions, and can offer an orientation of the area. We love to welcome guests in to the cottage, but do offer the key safe option if guests prefer a bit of flexibility on ETA! We also have a folder in the cottages with tips and advice for things to see and do in the area along with local restaurant and other recommendations.

The wonderful feature of our cottages is that they are in a remote, glorious corner of the Norfolk countryside with no light or noise pollution and fabulous country walks directly from the cottage.

It's the perfect location for bird-watching, nature walks, enjoying sunset views and star-gazing. The nearest neighbour is over a mile away!

A car is essential for getting around, there is so much exploring to do and the coast is just a 10 minute drive away. We are lucky to have lots of good pubs and restaurants close by, the closest is 30 minutes walk.

The nearest village shop is approx 3 miles away in East Rudham, and the closest large supermarket is in Fakenham, 8 miles away.

Taxi services can be limited during busy times so it is best to book well in advance.

The closest train station is Kings Lynn which has direct high-speed access from London.

There are car rental agencies in King's Lynn and public buses run between Kings Lynn and Fakenham a couple of times a day. It is just under 3 miles to the closest bus stop in West Rudham.

Bring your bikes because there are great cycling routes along the quiet country lanes with not too many steep hills.

We had a lovely time at Jo and Ed's place. Wonderful location and the lodge is perfect. We've stayed on the North Norfolk coast many times and this was our first venture inland. We'd highly recommend a stay at Jo and Ed's as it's a wonderful location and the coast is easily accessible. Jo and Ed were friendly, communicative and generous hosts. Highly recommended!

We booked a two night stay to celebrate my birthday, however the cottage was extremely cold, and after messaging the host to be told turn the radiators up we sat on the sofa with the duvet around us. Saturday morning no heating and it was trying to snow outside. So we sort alternative accommodation for the Saturday night. No refund from the host. Nice cottage is a rural location I'm sure it's perfect for a summer break.

As already mentioned, we feel very sorry that you were cold; when I checked in with you later on you said all was fine, had you told us the radiators still weren't warm we could have sorted the situation for you. We couldn't sort the problem because we didnt know there was one! Once we realised it was easily sorted. We have a lovely cosy biomass boiler for loads of eco friendly heat - we certainly don't ever expect our guests to be cold - as you can see from the reviews!

The cottage is an idyllic getaway set in a beautiful location. It's cosy, warm and exceptionally clean! I loved the bath with its plentiful hot water as well given the cold weather. Despite it's peaceful seclusion, there are shops, pubs and places of interest a very short drive away. Joanna and Ed were absolutely wonderful hosts and such a lovely couple, thank you again for the prosecco and chocolates! We would highly recommend this cottage for anyone who wants a bit of peace and tranquility, the perfect escape.

The cottage was just as described, and beautifully renovated and cosy. The OS map on the wall was really helpful for planning our days & Ed showed us various places on it when we arrived. There are no other houses within about a mile, so it was very secluded but meant that a car was a must for getting around! It was a great location for walking and cycling which was mostly what we were there for. The landscape is beautiful, though being late autumn there was a lot of fog & drizzle while we were there. The fantastic heating and hot water meant we could look forward to nice hot baths when we got back each day! Our only word of warning would be that many attractions in the area (country houses to visit etc.) close on or before the 31st October as it is no longer peak season - we were there over the start of November so we weren't able to do lots of things we might have liked to, I would recommend researching this before you go.

We live in a small corner of the beautiful North Norfolk country-side and lead a hectic lifestyle with our three lovely children and all sorts of animals keeping us always busy! We have ponies, dogs and a range of feathered friends who enjoy the lovely big garden. I run an Equine Facilitated Human Development practice, and in my spare time I like to run, ride horses and practise yoga. Ed is often about and loves all the outdoor jobs! Our property is always a hive of activity from a constant flow of guests and visitors, we love entertaining and sharing our small part of paradise.
