This location also offers numerous cycling routes and a variety of nearby golf courses such as Bamburgh, Seahouses and Goswick as well as North Berwick and Roxborough. From Seahouses (which is just a few minutes’ drive away), regular boat trips depart for the Farne Islands. North of Bamburgh lies Budle Bay, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The village of Lucker, just a mile away, offers a local pub, a creperie/pizzeria and a village store as well as an opportunity to indulge in the day spa and salon. Visit Alnwick with its majestic castle and Harry Potter connections, enchanting water gardens and cobbled streets, or venture along the coast to Bamburgh or Dunstanburgh Castles. A short drive over the causeway to Holy Island (Lindisfarne), shouldn’t be missed, whilst the border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed is an easy drive away. Shop, pub and restaurant 0.5 miles.
