À propos de ce logement
4 Upper Fisher Row, Oxford, is a lovely Victorian terraced cottage in the heart of Historic Oxford, famed for its University and Dreaming Spires. The property is perfect for short lets, and longer stays. West facing garden, wifi, living room/dining room. Best for 7 but up to 10.
It is situated on a no-through road, off Hythe Bridge Street in the City centre, and everything of interest is genuinely within walking distance, including the University colleges, museums, theatres and libraries.
This lovely victorian terraced house on 3 floors, is genuinely in the centre of Oxford within walking distance of all the attractions of this historic University town, including all the colleges and departments of the University as well as the Art Museums and theatres and for the young at heart it is very near the best clubs in town.
The house sleeps 8 or 10 using a sofabed, and has a lovely west-facing garden
There are 4 bedrooms - 2 double, a twin with an extra trundle bed under one and a single PLUS the sofabed hence the listing is for 8 not 10. There is a bathroom on the first floor (upstairs) and one on the ground floor (shower/wc)
Washer, dryer, wifi, all linens provided, all bills included
No parking at the house but it is very near the station both train and bus/coach and parking is available at Osney Lane for approx £10/24hrs
Weekend rate is always £380+ per night and single night bookings not welcomed.
If you have any questions please send me a message and I will happily get back to you as soon as I can.
Accès des voyageurs
The house is accessible from the street but I cannot offer parking. There is a step up to the front door and the staircase is quite narrow, being a Victorian house, but it is very charming.

I live about 4 minutes away by bicycle so am happy to help with advice, any extra things I might have to lend you etc, like cot beds and extra linen or large cooking pots!
Uniquely central and sleeping 8-10 so perfect for larger groups or families who do not want to spent £250+ per room per night in a hotel! Upper Fisher Row is a cul de sac and there are several permanent long time residents as well as 2 student houses. Upper Fisher Row is also an entrance to the canal path from where you can get to Port Meadow and beyond. You can also do this via the tow path opposite the house, by accessing the tow path from Hythe Bridge Street. Oxford has great theatre and cinemas with Concerts and conferences at all times of the year.
The house is just off Hythe Bridge Street which you can look up, so very near to the Bus and train stations so NO CAR needed and no parking offered. The Bus station on Gloucester green is the starting/ending point for buses and coaches to/from everywhere from Bath to Cambridge and so on. At the house you are probably less than 5 minutes from the Ashmolean Museum. There is probably no house so centrally located in Oxford available for Short Lets. 2 night minimum preferred.
I prefer bookings to be 2 nights at least and always 2 nights at weekends. I can negotiate on price for longer stays.
1. please respect the neighbours some of whom are long-time residents and do NOT party in the garden after 11pm.
2. No FOOD or DRINK upstairs other than water. No outside shoes upstairs.
3. strictly no smoking in the house, and if you smoke outside, do NOT leave ends all over the place
4. if you have time, strip any beds you use so I don't unnecessarily wash clean linen.
5 If you generate recyclable waste, you must recycle, bottles etc as instructed in notice on Kitchen wall; plus compostible stuff.
Not a rule, but please write in the visitor book, particularly if you have any recommendations for future guests, or me, the landlord!

I am a resident of Oxford, love living here and bought this house when my kids were at University here. Since they have graduated or gone elsewhere to University, I decided to offer it for short lets as there is a real shortage of places for small groups to stay, whether for weddings or conferences.
I have 7 kids so sometimes we use the house ourselves or I have another one i can sometimes let.
I have 2 cats, 1 dog, some goldfish, 1 kid still at home, as school age, and 2 grandchildren yet.
My home is chaotic, we sometimes have a lodger who thinks he or she is in a madhouse i suspect. the house is decorated with graffiti all over the outside...spiders, rickshaw, mushrooms. Jericho is the coolest place to live in Oxford. I have couch surfers, B&B people in the house, all sorts, all budgets.
