To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.

A photo ID will need to be presented, which will be photographed.

All our apartments are non-smoking apartments. For smoking please step outside and make sure you don't leave cigarette butts behind.

No pets or animals are accepted.

Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.

Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc.
Damage, breakages, theft and loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay.
Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival.

Linen is supplied. Bath towels are not to be used for beach.

Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant’s personal property.
Losing a key or the parking permit attracts a charge of $150, which covers for exchange of the locks and re-cutting the keys, respectively re-issuing the permit by the council.

We have endeavoured to provide quality service to all our visitors and have provided you with a clean and tidy apartment and we ask that you follow some simple guidelines.

Before you vacate, we ask that you ensure the following has been done:

Please wash any dirty dishes with the dishwashing facilities provided.

Wipe the table, bench/stove tops of food spills to avoid staining and insects.

Please leave oven, cooktop and microwave in a clean condition.

Please remove any left over food from fridge and put into bins provided.

Please empty any rubbish bins.

There is a standard cleaning charge at a nominal rate included in the price for your accommodation. However, should there be any extra cleaning required upon your departure; the cost for this cleaning is $50.00 per hour which will be invoiced to you, the guest.

Note: Variances can be agreed on, but only by arrangement with the owner in writing.

Overall I was really dissapointed with my stay here. Communication from the host was sporadic and i felt forgotten about even though this was not a cheap stay. In cheaper Airbnb places I'd enjoyed really warm reception from the host but somehow this was not the same. I paid extra for wifi which hardly ever worked despite my communication re this to the host. In fact I ended up going way over my own data and asked for a refund which I didn't receive. This area of St Kilda isnt that nice so dont believe the hype - there's backpackers and noisy pubs close by so if that's the area you like, go for it. Also the carparking (paid extra for this too) is not allocated so I'd often have to wait in the street for someone to drive away for a car park. After a long day at work this was really frustrating. These issues all made my stay stressful and I was quite relieved to leave!

Hi Sue. I'm very sorry to hear that you felt that your overall experience was disappointing. I tried my best to give you a warm welcome, a standard procedure as you can see in our reviews, but you made it impossible by first changing arrival time last minute and then not even showing up at your preferred time. You kept me waiting for hours without responding to my phone calls, so I had no other option than depositing the keys for you. Several times I tried to come and see you at the apartment. But your answer always was you were too busy. This was really disappointing for me. Also, The issues with the Internet could have been taken care of, but you only informed me at the very end of your stay. That again leaves us with no chance. The apartment is located mid way Dalgety street which is a quiet no through road. The pubs, bars and restaurants you are referring to are several minutes away. Far enough to not be disturbing in any way, but close enough to walk there. As per our description we offer an on street parking permit which can be used for the street in front of the apartment as well as all adjacent street, so there is plenty of parking. Sorry for your experience. Communicating a tad more pro-actively would have helped tremendously. Kind regards, Giuseppe

Všechno bylo perfektní, apartmán byl čistej a popis s fotkami dokonale sědel s tím, co jsme videli. Domácí bil senzačnej, a od začátku s náma komunikoval. Lokalita je jedna z nejlepších ve měste, jen 10 minut od pláže a 20 minút tramvají do úplního centra. Takže na závěr, pokud Vám nevadí malí prostory, určite doporučuju.

We had a good stay with "living like locals". We didn't have any internet working in the first apartment we had so they moved us to another one of there properties and didn't charge us for the Internet in the end what was very nice and they also gave us a lift to the other apartment also. They was nice clean apartment and very close to the beach, chapel street, Acland street and tram stops was also near by to get into the CBD. So all in all had a great stay and would recommend it.

Great one bedroom apartment in the heart of bustling St Kilda. Livinglikelocals made it very easy to just move in and enjoy. All the amenity that you would require is here in a secure quiet apartment block. Great for singles or couples looking for a cheap and easy base for visiting Melbourne or for a short stay for locals needing a base. Gieseppe is a very attentive host and is only a phone call away if you need anything.

I stayed at Giuseppe & Suzanne's apartment for 3 months recently, and overall it was a great place to stay. Here are some points about the apartment: PROS + Great location - one block away from the nearest tram stop on Fitzroy St which had frequent services to the city; 15min walk from Balaclava train station; 20min walk from Chapel St; 15min walk to St Kilda beach. + Very warm and cozy. + Well-equipped kitchen. + Great shower with awesome water-pressure. + Secure building complex with a gate at the front. CONS - Terrible airflow. Most of the windows can't be opened very much, so opening the door is the only way to freshen the place up (it was difficult to do this in the middle of winter). - Very nosey neighbour in apartment 1. He asks a lot of questions about what you're doing in Melbourne and isn't afraid of knocking on your door at night to ask you about your movements in and out of the complex. - Noisy neighbour upstairs (he's a very good musician, but loves to play late at night). - Temperamental washing machine - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I wasn't sure what the trick was, but there is a late opening coin laundry 5mins walk away that is a great help. Note that there is no dryer in the apartment. - Temperamental wifi internet with constant dropouts. - The TV will lose signal at the slightest hint of wind outside. However, I would definitely stay at this apartment again - the hosts are very hospitable and available to help you with anything you need.

Guiseppe was super kind, helpful and flexible to meet with us having both local info/map and plenty of welcoming household extras for us. It was our perfect "home sweet home"! Great location - central to everything. Short walk to beaches, parks, shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, food stores, atm/banks and all else you could need...locals say everything is just a "quick tram ride" which is very easy, accessible, clean to use especially getting into the city center of Melbourne (approx 25 mins on 3a or 16-no need to transfer-drops off at Flinders station) or wherever else your travels take you. Check out local markets and night markets, music, have a big brekky, happy hour is a must, definitely a coffee even if you don't drink it, some beach time on St Kilda with a sunset penguin watch and whatever your heart desires. Cruise terminal is approximately 10 minutes by taxi. Everyone everywhere was super friendly and helpful. Luna Park is a short walk as well. Enjoy!
