Le logement

Come visit the Bywater Neighborhood in New Orleans, from historical shotguns around every corner to live music at Kermit Ruffin's bar - Vaughn's, you will have a blast! Our restored servant quarters offers over 700 sqf. of space and is cozy and close to many restaurants, dive bars, coffee shops, parks, and studios spaces. We offer wireless internet, a fully functioning kitchen, new linens, cable, two new HD 32 inch flat screen, raised cover deck with private back yard, washer & dryer and everything you need to live comfortably. Our guests have had nothing but positive things to say so far. This bungalow is close to the Quarter, about 1.2 miles, the perfect afternoon walk. The shotgun and creole houses in the area are anywhere from 100 - 200+ years old and full of charm and history. I would suggest bringing a bike or two or renting them, it is a great way to get around the area. The NOLA bus line runs at end of the street.

Favs in the area: Satsuma - great coffee shop serving breakfast & lunch (try the beat and lime juice). Bachennal wine shop - amazing outdoor wine shop & patio with many cheeses and beers. An outdoor food vendor serves grilled pulled pork, amazing salads, and small plates of all kind. Mimis is a great older dive bar that serves strong ones. Fun place to hang with the neighbors and perfect for late night drinks (in the Marigny). Markys is a great beer dive for the games or just daydreaming, you will never feel alone (off Royal)...the list goes on......

So many great things about this property, i'll try to just name a few. The servant's quarters were comfortable and full of charm. The private, fenced in back yard was awesome to have for our dog and relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is great as well, the Bywater neighborhood was quiet, safe and had plenty to offer. Elizabeth's right down the street was wonderful for coffee and breakfast before heading out for the day. Crescent park is also right near by with picturesque views of the river. The Quarter is easily accessible from the property as well, wether biking or walking. Robert was also very easy to communicate with. My only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer!

We loved Robert's place - it fit exactly what we were looking for - the house was quiet and safe, we were close enough to walk to some great restaurants and bars - Elizabeth's is across the street!. We were able to ride bikes (that we rented) to the Marigny and Quarter. Also, we were really close to park for our dog! The house was comfortable and perfect for a couple - with a little back porch we hung out on and drank wine. Also, Robert was very easy to communicate with and very helpful!

Stop your search. Stay at Robert's. Walk to cool places. Comfortable place to stay with Nola vibes all around without the chaos of the French Quarter. Robert is very responsive. Just book it.

Robert's place is in an awesome location! Loved the private backyard for the dog, street parking was always available, and French quarter is walkable. The neighborhood was lively but quiet, even in Mardi Gras season. As some other reviewers mentioned- you can hear the neighbors; that being said, it's really only in the front room and didn't bother us at all.

In our opinion, the location was unbeatable! Great for a couple. We loved the restaurants in our (walkable) neighborhood. Being so close to Crescent park, we walked or biked into the Quarter every other night! I think biking is the way to go!! Quiet and hidden, we felt very safe. Not really any cozy living room seating, which was OK, because we were out and about most all of the time. For an extended stay (we stayed for the month) it would have been cheaper for us to have stayed in SOME days/night. I did get plenty of work done at the fabulous table, of which there are two. Robert was in and out, he has multiple properties out of state. We did get to meet him which I imagine would sometimes not be the case. It was very nice to have an independent stay. Even laundry on the back porch, which was so charming I loved air drying our clothes and sitting on the back porch ; ) We enjoyed the home and stay. So much history in the walls! An unforgettable trip! Thank you Robert!!
