Description

2 Bedroom gay friendly sunny second-floor walk up in the same building as our popular third floor apartment. It boasts the same big windows, great treetop views, and is only a short walk to the EL.

Each of the guest rooms sleeps two, is furnished with a queen bed, dresser, closet with hangers, and separate keyed entry. The spacious kitchen is equipped for light cooking.

WIFI, housekeeping, towels, linens, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, coffee and tea. Also included: house dog (his name is Syd. He loves napping, visitors, petting, and is quieter than most cats. He visits the second floor apartment with Amy only occasionally but you can visit him upstairs anytime.)

We love hosting guests, introducing them to the city, and look forward to hosting you!

Historic Edgewater Glen is a quiet, safe neighborhood. It has a walking score of 91 which makes it perfect for those who want to explore Chicago on foot or by train. Fantastic restaurants and other amenities (market, dry cleaner, bars, coffee shops, etc.) are all only a block or two away.

Free street parking is available for those coming by car.

Our home is located 1 mile north of Chicago's popular Andersonville neighborhood, and is a 6 minute walk from the El, Loyola's Lakeshore campus, lakefront and the beach.

The Loop is only 30 minutes away via public transportation. To travel downtown, we recommend taking the Red Line train from Granville (about a six minute walk), or the 147 Loop Express (catch it around the corner at Broadway and Devon).

We also recommend Uber for getting around. Uber is widely used in Chicago, as is Lyft Both are easy to use and relatively inexpensive.

Chicago now has a convenient, easy to use bike sharing system called Divvy. For more information on Divvy, go to

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

This is a rehabbed turn-of-the-century building with original floors. If you are concerned about overhead noise, we are happy to provide you with a solution we have come to appreciate as long-time apartment dwellers—a comfortable pair of ear plugs.

Appartement bien situe au nord de chicago.lumineux et plein de charme. En revanche insonorisation insuffisante et bruit de voisinage tres tard dans la nuit.

This is a beautiful, airy apartment filled with books and cozy chairs, located in a quiet neighborhood close to the train and a great coffee shop. Amy and Holly were lovely hosts who were easily accessible. If you don't mind a commute to the Loop, this is a great place to stay. We loved it!

My girlfriend and I were in town for the end of a road trip and were lucky enough to stay in this beautiful, spacious apartment over the weekend. Amy and Holly were really easy to talk to regarding changes in our itinerary, and made it very easy to reach out with any questions or concerns either of us may have had. The flat itself is wonderful - the bathroom was fully stocked with showering supplies, the kitchen was spacious and had full sets of cookware for preparing meals, and both of the living room areas were tastefully decorated and super comfortable to lounge in - I personally got some good reading done in the chair by the fireplace! We stayed in the bedroom with a full map of the world, in what has to be THE best bed in the entire world. It was like sleeping on clouds while being hugged by the sun. We've both agreed that it was possibly the best bed we'd slept on for the entire trip. Our hosts also keep a very environmentally conscious house, which I definitely appreciate! Due to a possible glitch with the mobile app, we had to leave a day earlier than scheduled - quite a surprise for everyone involved! But Holly was really understanding and got in touch with AirBnB right away, as well as gave us a small time extension so we could pack up and get things sorted. We both really appreciated that, and luckily managed to sort things. Overall, this was a fabulous flat to call home for the weekend, with great, adaptable hosts, and I highly recommend it for anybody looking for a quiet base from which to conduct their Chicago adventures!

My partner and I moved from St. Louis to Chicago 8 years ago. We love entertaining, cook often and spend lots of time in nearby Andersonville. We love the arts, great food and can definitely recommend a variety of great things to do in Chicago.
