It was really hard to contact the host. We tried via Airbnb, email and finally through the Anah. When we arrived at the apartment there were a lot of things left there from the previous user, which we then found out it had been the host. This was disappointing because a lot of things were really dirty, there was a used razor in the shower, no towels in the kitchen, no pool towels, etc.
We tried to contact Fran so he could help us with these issues but we didn't hear once from him. The only time we heard from him was when we asked if it was possible to have a late check out at the Anah's front desk. Then, while still in the apartment, he sent us a threatening message via Airbnb saying I had demanded an early check in and a late check out (which I didn't) and that he had the ability to write a bad review about me for it.
We had been having a great time despite the issues we had with the condo. However, his message was very upsetting. I never thought a host would threaten me through such a trust worthy platform as Airbnb. My family and I have traveled many times through Airbnb, in several occasions to the Anah, and we never had such a disappointing experience with a host.
The Anah on the other side, is a great place to stay and the apartments are great. The amenities are excatly as portrayed and the location is great!
