Get away from it all to this cozy 2 bedroom/1 bath cottage in a wooded setting on Lake Huron. Swim at the private beach, kayak on the lake, hike in the woods, take walks along the sand, read on the deck, view sunsets and enjoy campfires on the beach.
Here you can enjoy all of the comforts of home. The indoor ambiance is characterized by knotty pine paneling, ceramic tile flooring (kitchen & bathroom) selections of antique furniture, wood-burning fireplace, historical information and artifacts related to the area, games, books, and a binder with information about things to do and see nearby. There is a large deck overlooking the lake, which many guests consider a highlight of their stay. The walkway to the deck, the deck itself, and the steps from the deck to the beach have lighting to enhance ambiance and safety at night. Enjoy day trips to northern Michigan spots: 10 minute drive to Cheboygan, 25 minute drive to Mackinaw City (can catch a ferry to Mackinac Island), 45 minute drive to Petoskey or Harbor Springs. You can also take day trips to Upper Peninsula destinations.

My husband and I currently live in northwest Ohio. My husband grew up in Cheboygan, MI where we rent out a cottage through airbnb on Lake Huron. We love to travel -- to visit members of our family throughout the US and beyond ---- and to explore different areas and cultures. We find airbnb to give a more authentic and comfortable travel experience.
