Description

Our family house in Büyükada (Prinkipo) was built in early 19th century by a Greek architect. Situated in a quite street in lovely Maden district, it's only 10 minutes walk from the center of the island.

Our two story wooden house is a special Ottoman "köşk" built by a Greek architect for a Greek family. It changed hands only a few times over decades. It was restored by our family and furnished with precious antique pieces and precious carpets together with unique artworks by famous Turkish and international artists. The house has 5 bedrooms on the first floor and 1 bedroom on the ground floor. The main living room has also a comfortable sofa bed on which sleeps two people. The house can accomodate easily up to ten people. The house is 250 m2 and it is situated in a 500 m2 wonderful garden. We have many fruit

Whenever they need to.

Located 20 km from Istanbul, Buyukada is easily accessible from both Anatolian and European parts of Istanbul, with ferries running till passed midnight. Buyukada has the highest concentration of beautiful Ottoman & Greek architecture in Turkey, with historic mansions scatted across the island with great Turkish & Greek restaurants on the coast. No motor vehicles are allowed on the Island, which creates a nostalgic setting where transport is through horse carriages and bicycles. Simply put, Buyukada is an exquisitely romantic and nostalgic location, close enough to enjoy the hectic lifestyle of central Istanbul.

There are ferries and boats travelling to Büyükada (Prinkipo) several times a day. The house is situated in a convenient street not far from the center.
