Description

In a newly built condo building, our bi-level apartment is ready guests! Enjoy a gourmet kitchen, comfortable living space, bedroom with one real bed & large furnished basement with an air mattress. Easy access to two subway lines (G and A,C).

This Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn apartment is brand new! We had a blast hosting in Williamsburg and decided to move to this up-and-coming neighborhood. We love it here! Conveniently located between the A express train and G train, you're 10-minutes from exploring all our neighboring neighborhoods including: Prospect Park, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Fort Green, Williamsburg, Bushwick and only 20 minutes from Manhattan!

Our space is very bright and roomy with one-queen bedroom and a finished basement with a queen air mattress. Our kitchen is stocked with all the essentials including a lodge grill cooktop, five burner gas range, pantry items, picnic gear, french press or pour-over chemex and more.

If you're in town for business or need a place to work, our basement has a comfortable office space. Otherwise, if you're in town for pleasure, our spacious apartment has all you need: a large bathroom with travel toiletries, towels, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, closet space, TV, apple and roku TV, Netflix, Hulu.

We are two miles from Prospect Park where fitness enthusiasts can run the 4-mile loop, pack a picnic or toss the frisbee on the large grassy lawns.

Only a 50 minute subway ride to Rockaways beach. Probably the hippest beach on the east coast. This beach has all the best Brooklyn and Manhattan restaurants right on the boardwalk between 107th and 86th street! Surfing and bike rentals available.

The building has a common rooftop area to hang out and enjoy the views of the city.

If guests should need to get in touch with us during their stay, we're a phone call or text away.

Where to eat around Bed-Stuy:
- Dough: you don't have to wait in the long lines at Smorgasburg for these amazing donuts - walk right up and pick up a fresh made donut at 7 am or 9 pm! My favorite: Cafe au Lait and Hibiscus
- Bedford Hill Coffee Bar: coffee in the morning or beer and wine in the afternoon; that's my kind of coffee shop!
- Do Or Dine (right down the block!) Unlike any other restaurant in NYC their menu is experimental and seasonal.
- Speedy Romeo is our new favorite pizza shop and not because GIRLS filmed there last season. The pizza is amazing and don't forget to try the steak and burger.
- Dynaco: after dinner at Do or Dine, walk next door for an after dinner cocktail. Cozy local bar.
-Chilo's: great bar for beer and cocktails with an outdoor space that has a taco truck in the back. Great for tacos mid-day or late night.

Some of our favorites around Brooklyn:
Williamsburg:
-Forcella Pizza: our first love of NYC pizza. Best margarita pizza EVER.
- Commodore: yummy chicken sandwiches and looks like your grandma's basement from 1974.
- Saturday mornings in summer = Smorgasburg which is an absolute must go to event! So much great food and the 2014 line up is spectacular.

Park Slope:
- Dinosaur BBQ: if you love BBQ, then you have to check out this spot! With two locations in the NYC metro area, you're a short ride from this famous Syracuse restaurant.
- Ample Hills Ice Cream: homemade and inventive flavors.

If you want to explore Brooklyn on bike, one block away you can rent Citi Bike Share for the day or weekend.

You are a 8 minute walk to the A & C trains (A is express) and a 5 minute walk to the G train.

A&C trains take you into Manhattan
G train takes you north into Williamsburg / Greenpoint or south into Park Slope

We'll communicate via email about the transfer of keys.

staying at Laura's place was pretty accurate to the description. It was nice and clean. It was four of us; there was a "real bed" and an air mattress. the air mattress is in the basement which is a finished basement. It felt pretty cozy down there and it was like a whole big room to ourselves. my friends staying in the room upstairs found it difficult to sleep-in because of all the light coming in from the window, but it was still comfortable upstairs. Laura was nice enough to give us some tips on the neighborhood and NY in general and she left a bottle of wine for us, which was really nice. We were mostly out from morning to night and basically only used the place to sleep and shower. In the morning, the neighborhood is okay and felt safe; there are a lot of people out. Coming home at night the neighborhood didn't feel as safe. I would recommend to not walking alone at night. Parking isn't too difficult to find if you're driving, but be aware of street cleaning. We did arrive early for check-in (3:00pm) so we decided to do lunch first to kill some time. We weren't able to check-in until 3:30 because we had to wait for the person who was going to give us the keys to get there. Texted Laura about it, but there was never a response. :/ That was a bit frustrating, but overall staying at the place was great. Didn't have to communicate with Laura after the check-in. I would definitely come stay here again.

My name is Laura and I am a marketing professional in the food industry. I love farmers markets, cooking and running. My husband Ryan is an advertising professional. He enjoys music, collecting records and art. Together we like to travel around the world, experience good food and culture. We have a small dog named Berlin who has a personality that will entertain you for hours.

Upon our last trip to Paris, we stayed in a flat and I loved the experience of living "locally" abroad, so we decided to open our apartment while we are traveling for visitors to NYC/Brooklyn.

Currently we live in a studio apartment in Brooklyn, NY. I have a strong appreciation for a clean and well organized home. When we travel, we'll be sure to take care of your place as if our own. For our Airbnb guests, we thoroughly clean or hire a cleaning service if time doesn't permit to ensure the best experience possible.

Happy traveling!
