Bright and spacious period apartment on a leafy street close to central Brighton. Situated in a popular residential area just a stone's throw from Preston Park and a short stroll from the buzzing North Laine, this ground floor flat is full of character, combining original features such as high ceilings and open fireplaces with modern comforts, offering visitors a cosy and quirky 'home from home'. Comfortably sleeping four it's close to both a bus-stop and free parking. Sunny outdoor terrace.
My home is situated right on the edge of central Brighton... meaning easy access to the buzzing city without having to sacrifice a good night's sleep.
The flat is light and airy, furnished in an eclectic mix of modern and vintage. Double doors in the lounge open onto the front garden while the back boasts a sunny terrace. There's a large bedroom with a superking-sized bed plus a sofabed in the lounge which comfortably sleeps another two. The bathroom (which is separate from the toilet) is compact but houses a free-standing shower and bath.

Guests have access to all areas including a lawned front garden, and the back terrace as far as the gate at the top of the steps, beyond which lies my neighbours' garden. There are two other flats in the building - one next door and one above. The front door opens into a shared hallway - my private entrance is the door straight ahead, the one with the stained glass panels. Guests have access to kitchen appliances including microwave, fridge freezer, iron and washing machine; large flat-screen television with cable and on-demand plus DVD player; outside barbecue.

When possible I'll be there initially to hand over the keys and show guests around. Otherwise there is a key-safe outside for which a code will be provided. However if you've any problems I'll only be a phonecall away!
Towels and bedding are provided as well as a few basics (milk, juice, bread, butter, jam, cereal etc). There is a hair-dryer in the bedroom. Guests are free to make use of my books, DVDs, board games and tennis rackets. There is a dog flap in the back door.
Out of respect for my neighbours please don't play loud music after midnight. For the same reason please keep the noise down after midnight if you're outside in the backyard. Pets are welcome but please clean up if your mutt fouls outside!
Hi I'm Barbara, Irish-born and bred, although after 17 years in Brighton this feels like home. I'm proud of my adopted city and look forward to welcoming you here in person.
I'm a creative person and hope others will enjoy the thought I've put into furnishing my home.
