We enjoy meeting new friends and talking. We would like very much to share a glass of wine, a meal, discuss New Orleans' many attractions, and do whatever we can to make our guests' visit a good one. However, we realize that most of our guests are here to tour and enjoy all New Orleans has to offer and, therefore, respect and understand that time to socialize is not always an option.

Eddie and Micky keep a spotless, stylish little suite in a convenient location. I can't say enough kind things about how accommodating and communicative they are. I'll stay in the same place the next time I come to New Orleans!

I had a wonderful stay at Eddie and Micky's place! The accommodation is very well appointed and there are tons of details that made it extra special. As a solo traveler, staying in Algiers Point was great, a short and easy ferry ride to the French Quarter, and a safe, quiet community to return to after touring around. On Algiers Point there are a couple good, local watering holes, and some tasty choices for food. I met some very kind and friendly people, and look forward to returning. I would highly recommend Eddie and Micky's place, you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful traditional (I think?) shotgun house. I was between 4 and 5 stars because there are a couple of things I think that could be better, but there are way more pros than cons to this house. And I leaned towards 5 because Eddie and Micky not only took time to make their guests stay enjoyable, but they also use Airbnb correctly by giving a great description of their place and neighborhood PROS Algiers Point is very pretty; beautiful to walk around. the architecture of the houses, the trees and gardens, and the often interesting exterior paint jobs all stand out The Old Point bar, a block away, is a cool bar that feels local but still welcoming to visitors. we saw a cool rockabilly band our first night at Eddie´s recommendation. The Apartment is very, very clean Amenities like a comfy bed, nice sheets and towels are very much appreciated The apartment and house itself are very nice and charming. for example there was a beautiful chandelier and rugs... not overdone to the point where the place feels stuffy or museum-like. really nice Eddie & Micky took time when we arrived to give us tips on where to visit locally and also how to get around larger New Orleans.. very helpful We were on our honeymoon and enjoyed having some quiet to complement all the eating and drinking... Algiers point is very, very quiet very simple, but we loved the two rocking chairs on the front porch. shaded in morning and afternoon, sun towards middle of day. not sure there is a neighborhood close by that could match the quiet and beauty A couple of things that could be a little better or that a renter might want to be aware of: the AC is right outside the bedroom window. fairly loud when it comes on... it was in the 80s when we were visiting, but we still would have leaned towards open windows and fans. but most of the windows do not have screens - this would be a good addition, I think. being picky, but there is a house full of yappy, small dogs next door. they werent out much, but when they were, they were loud lastly, regarding convenience to French Quarter/other side of the river. the ferry is great. but just know the last return trip is 9:45 during the week and 11:45 on fri/sat. 2 of our 3 nights, we took an uber home, which was $25. the other night we made the ferry thanks Eddie & Micky, Chris & Isel

Unfortunately, for health reasons, we couldn’t finish our whole stay with them but they were very helpful and kind and they have a very cozy house. Thanks for everything!

Beautiful historic home in a cool neighborhood we wouldn’t have visited otherwise. Helpful hosts and great accommodations. Claw foot tub is a major bonus. Visit the Old Point two blocks down to party with the locals.

We like music and food, so we love New Orleans. Micky teaches piano and voice and is currently studying the harp. She does most of the preparation for guests, and is the one to contact to discuss special requests, if needed. Eddie loves to cook and is an avid sailor. Louie is our Cavalier King Charles spaniel, loves everybody, and will never tire of your attention!
