Peace and quiet. We're located at the foot of the Cherokee Mountains in the East Tennessee countryside. Lot's of wild edibles if you know who to ask such as blueberries, black raspberries, nut trees, and chicory. It stays cooler up here than down in Greeneville, and we get magnificent cool winds. Sometimes when it's been raining the clouds will flow over the mountain like water. We also have our fare share of wildlife- plenty of rabbits, the occasional deer, raccoons, foxes, turkeys, killdeer, cardinals, bluebirds, hummingbirds, Canadian geese, various hawks and birds of prey, whippoorwill, doves, swifts, woodpeckers, and many more.
We also have free ranging cats, all fixed, spayed, and vaccinated. Also friendly!

No public transit. We're a horse ranch so bring your horses! It's a 15-20 minute drive into town.

The trail head that leads into the National forest is right down the road. There is a trail that leads to the top of the mountain to the fire tower outlook. Good for hikers or horseback riders. There is also a separate road for cars. There is also a road/trail that goes down the other side of the Mountain to the Burnett Gap area.

The cabin was exactly what we expected. It's tucked away in a secluded area which makes for a peaceful weekend away. The fenced in yard was perfect as we brought my dog along. Cell service on the way was spotty but perfectly once we arrived. The closest gas station was about 15-20 minutes away so make sure you stock up on your way in!

Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin and would go here again. We definitely enjoyed the hot tub out on the deck while it was cold out. If you're looking for a sweet time to unplug and get away, this is a great option.

The cabin was a perfect get-away for a Thanksgiving retreat. The amount of space was perfect for our group, and the kitchen was very accommodating for our feast. The hot tub was icing on the cake, especially after hiking several of the local trails the day after Thanksgiving. Wonderful! Our hosts were extremely helpful, and very responsive to any questions or concerns during our stay. We would love to return.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! It looks exactly as it does in the pictures but it is actually bigger! Plenty of room! It is in a very remote setting that is very beautiful, especially in the fall. We chose this cabin because it was between Greeneville and Gatlinburg. Everyone on the ranch was very helpful and friendly. The only thing that I felt could be updated were the towels and linens. They were clean, but very old and worn looking. We found the beds to be very comfortable. Overall a great weekend getaway with the family!

The cabin is in a beautiful location and is very spacious and private. Hosts guided us to the cabin via country roads, which was appreciated.

Hello, we are the Halvorsen's and we are the owners of Meadow Creek Mountain Resort! We are a family owned local small business- it took a leap of faith to undertake such a big place, but we love it. Now we want to share it with others. The ranch is run by family and friends so…
