I agreed with this guest that she would need to inflate the bed, which she was happy to do. I said it would be on the stairwell, which is where it was.
The group before her ran over by 5 minutes and she chatted with them before they left.
She then left the property because she said she felt angry there was no bed.
I then received multiple aggressive messages all evening and the next day.
I have been providing this beautiful space for many years and have never received such an upsetting attack from a guest.
As the last lovely guest wrote, it is indeed a ‘temple’ space. This is clearly described as a working yoga studio.
There are certain dates that I can’t inflate the bed because of other bookings. In these instances I ask if people are happy to put the bed up themselves (the inflatable is a high quality bed with an internal pump). If they agree, I leave it on the stairwell for them.
This is exactly what I did with this guest.
I do my best to provide a beautiful, spacious studio and most people love it as it’s quite an unusual set up. It’s hard to find such a large space, with a roll top bath and a sunny garden in Brighton.
I’m sad to have such an aggressive response from someone whom I tried so hard to please.
If you are thinking about booking and have any questions, please do ask.
If you’re not happy to put up the bed, no problem. It may not be the right space for you.
If you’d like a serene stay then it should give you a restful nights sleep
