1 bed room, Sleeps maximum 2 persons, 3/4 Bath.
A decidedly cool and comfortable guest house in a quintessential Vermont small town.
Owned and run by two artists- our clean, smoke & pet free recently rehabbed house is an amalgamation of old and new.
Built in the 1900's as factory housing, large sunny rooms all freshly painted and decorated. The living room is furnished with vintage Roche Bobois furniture, great lighting, original artwork, flatscreen tv. A well equipped kitchen that will be great to have a leisurely meal & talk over the days surprises. One quiet bedroom furnished with new comfortable bed. A front porch to spy the neighbors, read a book or just relax with a cocktail.
Walk to our art gallery and cafes serving espresso's on their shaded porches. A bookstore to lose oneself in while finding just the right book to curl up with. Super restaurants & cafes provide casual dining experiences. Sip local brewed beers at local bars.
Rochester is a road/mountain biking mecca- roll into our great bike shop and ask for the rides only locals know.

Access to a private porch & off street parking space.

Nothing planned other than initially greeting & allowing access to the house. We live just up the mountain.

The house is situated in quintessential Vermont town on a quiet dead end street. Walk to everything- cafes, a grocery store, restaurants, bike shop, art gallery, across the street access is the White River for kayaking or a swim, fishing. A historical society & library for knowledge or have a picnic on the town green.

Located 2.5 +/- hours from Boston and Montreal, situated just off Route 100.

I am first and foremost an artist.
My wife and I are restoring and live in two 1800's schoolhouses mysteriously attached together. Our house has 12 foot high pressed tin ceilings, a contemporary painting studio & darkroom, large vegetable & flower gardens. We try to live green & follow the footsteps of Sir Clivus Multrum.
I love riding my road bicycle on the local secondary roads, I have a vintage road racing motorcycle that calls for my attention. Things I cannot live without- my wife, Marcel our standard poodle & Pirate our blind cat, laughing, peaty scotch, art books, Wim Wender movies & the occasional blast of Peter Frampton!
We are easy going hosts for the most part, attentive & live nearby- we will not fawn over you nor offer 'farmers breakfasts'.
Peace out.
