Children are very welcome and we have toys and equipment for all ages included in the per night room charge. There is ample car parking space in the driveway and the bus stop is 5 mins walk from the house with a regular service to Woking town centre, the station and to the surrounding area. It's a perfect base for you as you visit the south-east of England or the theatres and museums of London, with trains taking 28 minutes to Waterloo Station.
If you are here on a business trip, we have wifi throughout the house so it's easy for you to keep in touch with colleagues, family and friends and you can use the internet or the printer at any time. Most of our rooms have desks, or you can use the desk in the living room or in the study so even on holiday you can stay connected.
We are near the motorway network making it easy to get to Windsor Castle, Hampton Court Palace, Wisley Gardens, Brooklands Motor Museum, Wimbledon for the tennis and Henley for boating, just to name a few places well worth a visit. Heathrow and Gatwick airports are 45 minutes drive away from the house, and there are regular bus and train services from both airports to Woking, our nearest town. The coast is an hour's drive away. Woking Golf Club is within walking distance, and the house adjoins the local Anglican Church. Places of worship for all the main religions are also nearby.
One bedroom is on the ground floor and has wheelchair access. There is a large living room and a separate dining room if you wish to entertain, supported by Cordon Bleu dining options, 4 acres of secluded gardens to walk in, and a terrace complete with barbecue for less formal occasions. We have wifi throughout the house so you can keep in touch with family and friends and use the internet at any time. There is also a fully equipped office for those who need to work whilst on holiday or just want to keep in touch with the family back home.
The village is 5 minutes walk away and boasts a good range of restaurants, shops, hairdressers and beauty salons. There is a regular bus service to the nearby town and the railway station. The nearest towns are Guildford and Woking and between them they offer great shops, ice skating, bowling, swimming, theatres and cinema and much more.
We speak French and German, a little Italian and Japanese, and some Russian.
We also have two friendly, well behaved and rather ancient Labradors who are very child friendly. Visiting dogs by appointment only please.
We are looking forward very much to meeting you and to helping you to have a wonderful holiday in the south-east of England, or if you are coming on a business trip, what better place to return to after a busy working day!
If you need any more information, please get in touch with us. We can arrange airport pickups from Heathrow and Gatwick for an extra fee.

We interact with our guests as much as they wish. We thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them, but we also respect their right to privacy. The study is available for those who wish to spend the evenings on their own, with wifi, a desk, TV and comfortable chairs for reading in.
We hope very much that our guests will enjoy staying with us and that we can help make their stay memorable. There is so much to do and to visit in the area and we are happy to recommend places of interest and help with any planning that is required.
There is a good bus service running from the village to Woking and all around the area. It takes 10 minutes to travel from the village of St Johns to Woking Station from where there are regular trains to London and to the south coast. A 30 minute walk or a bike ride along the canal towpath, will take you to the centre of Woking if you prefer to take the exercise!
We live in a peaceful and green corner of Surrey and hope that our guests will enjoy it as much as we do. Any help we can give by way of travel advice, restaurant bookings etc., you just have to ask and we will do all we can to make your stay memorable and comfortable.
This is a non smoking household and we would appreciate your respecting this condition. Smoking can be done in the garden or on the terrace.
If you have a car, please don't block any other cars in, there is ample parking in the drive for all.
Please call if you plan to return late in the evening and respect the neighbourhood by being as quiet as you would wish your neighbours to be, and if you'd like breakfast in the morning, we would appreciate discussing timings and menus with you so that we get it right!
Please treat the house as you would your own home and remember that any damage to the property, furnishings or the owners' possessions must be paid for before departure.
If you wish to bring your dog with you, please make this clear when you send us your booking request so that we know a little about him/her: age, breed, and anything else you feel could be useful for us to know. There is a £10.00 charge for his stay, payable when you arrive, and during your stay, please remember to clear up after him/her in the garden and please don't let him/her onto the beds or chairs. He will then be welcomed into the house by our rather ancient labrador girl. When you go out, please take him with you and don't leave him either in your room or your car, and if you have real problems with taking him, come and have a chat with us and we'll see how we can help.

Cheerful, married, multi lingual Grandmother and cordon bleu cook. I play tennis and golf regularly and we entertain our family and friends as often as we can persuade them through the door! We (my husband and I [quote unquote] love meeting new people and going to new places, and we get great fun from our Airbnb guests, learning so much from them all about life and their worlds.
We are more than happy to give our guests a personalized tour of the local area, and try to do our best to make them feel at home in our home. We look forward to continuing to make new friends through Airbnb and I guess that our motto would be: 'The extra mile travelled is a very short step towards a new friendship'.
