Accès des voyageurs

The property is situated in a very private yet accessible location being situated down a private country lane ( not ideally suited for sports cars). Kerswell itself is small hamlet with nothing other than a handful of houses and a children's playground. The neighbouring villages of Kentisbeare and Broadhembury both have local shops and good Pubs.
The larger towns of Cullompton with direct access to junction 28 of the M5 is approximately 4 miles and the historic lace town of Honiton 6 miles.
Many attractions are within short drive including the cathedral city of Exeter (20 mins drive), surfing on the North Devon coast (40 mins drive), Durassic coast (25 mins). Otter activities include fishing, golf, cycling, gliding and much much more

Everything you could want from a spotlessly clean place to stay in the countryside. Great hosts with helpful recommendations for takeaways that would deliver and also providing us with an OS map of the area which was very useful. You are guaranteed a silent night's sleep, a very good shower, and all the kit you could need in the kitchen. There was the thoughtful touch too of a welcome basket of goodies!

Really enjoyed our stay at Kersley. Great stars at night, wonderful countryside and nearby villages you can walk to. Helen and Jonathan are friendly, helpful and informative. The Five Bells at Clyst Hydon (5 miles) is absolutely superb for food. No mobile phone coverage in the area, but many will welcome that!

Lovely stay in a nice little cottage. We stayed in Helen's place whilst we were down for a friends wedding in the local area. The place itself is very comfortable, with its own fully equipped kitchen. The garden outside is really nice as well and perfect to sit in on a sunny day. Helen was a great host and had cream tea (along with other essential items) waiting for us when we arrived which was very nice of her. Many thanks Helen. Note - a car is pretty much essential to get around this area.

This is a gorgeous little cottage with a stunning garden and the photos don't convey how pretty and comfortable it is. Helen was very welcoming and had provided a lovely cream tea. We're tempted to come back in the autumn as it would be a cosy bolthole after a long walk in the beautiful local countryside.

Helen was great with communication before our stay and helping with local taxi numbers and detailed directions. We found the place easily with her help. The property is like a little holiday home built in their garden which means you share their drive and their wonderful garden. The property itself was clean and well stocked with things like tea, coffee, milk, breakfast food etc. and a lovely touch of some scones with clotted cream! The only odd thing was that there were no towels so we had to go out and buy some but it's possible they just forgot to put some out for us (we couldn't find anywhere that said they were or weren't included so maybe it was wrong of us to presume). Other than that, a lovely little property that was perfect for our short stay while we went to a friend's wedding at nearby Escot House. Thank you very much!

The property is delightful and not far off the middle of nowhere in idyllic countryside. Its exactly as described and Helen is an host par excellence. Fresh flowers, and a welcome basket with wine, cream tea and eggs was a very generous touch. The down side was the usual one when you are in the middle of nowhere - poor phone and internet signals! The cottage has everything you need, and plenty of tourist information. I do hope I can go back there in the summer to enjoy it in good weather.

Just got back from our stay at this beautiful getaway home. We were welcomed by Helens husband who despite, having to open the gate in the pouring rain for us, was so very friendly. He showed us to the holiday home, which is on the grounds of where they live, and made sure we were all settled in and that we had everything before he left us to unpack. We also met one of their beautiful dogs, ethel, who was just so friendly and took a liking to us as we had a mooch around the garden and had a look into the opening acres of land around! ! The village itself is a very small village, with only 10 minutes drive until you reach the m5 again and you can explore more in Devon!! We spent one day in exmouth and the following day in exeter, then returned to our holiday home, lit the log fire, made made a hot chocolate and sat back and watched films. It's the perfect holiday home, if you you wanted to drive somewhere, walk somewhere or simply sit in and relax in front of the log fire. I would highly recommend this place to stay, and want to say a massive thank you again!!!

We love the fact that we can access many walks through the surrounding country side from the bottom of our garden. One of the walks takes you to a local local pub The Drewe arms in Broadhembury, which is situated at the bottom of the Blackdown Hills.
Jonathan is a keen surfer with Croyde and Saunton sands a 45 min drive away from our property and the fishing village of Beer a 30 minute drive.
Exeter is only a thirty minute car journey with a wide range of shops, restaurants, red coat tours and museums.
