Several large patios in front and great lawn perfect for entertaining with commanding views of downtown. Area is a multimillion dollar location. Approach this lower level unit through the large, gated front yard, the long term tenant lives above with his wife, two year old kid and cat. You really feel private here as tenant is above and keeps to his patio area up top. This charming Spanish features antique lighting, stone floors in kitchen and baths, stainless steel appliances in completely remodeled kitchen and sunlit rooms. Convenient to great shops and bars in trendy Los Feliz Village and Silver Lake. Hiking, horseback riding and the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Griffith Park, the Observatory, Hollywood sign and Downtown Los Angeles nightlife. Quiet neighborhood and peaceful place to relax between sightseeing trips and Hollywood nightlife. Convenient to 5, 101, 2 and 110 freeways and public transportation. Only 15 minutes to Downtown, 5 minutes to Glendale, 20 minutes to Pasadena and Burbank/Studio City and 45 minutes to the beach . Fully fenced pet friendly yard.

Los Feliz has been home to movie stars, musicians, and the Hollywood elite since the 1920s. It boasts some of the best-known residential architecture in the city, including two homes designed by Frank Lloyd Wright—the Ennis House and the Hollyhock House—and Richard Neutra's Lovell House.

Mickey Mouse was "born" in Los Feliz: Walt Disney drew his first image of the now-legendary character in the garage of his uncle's house, on Kingswell Avenue between Vermont Avenue and Rodney Drive. Disney's first animation studio was also on Kingswell Avenue, just down the street from his uncle's house and east of Vermont Avenue. Disney's second, larger studio (now a Gelson's supermarket) was at the corner of Griffith Park Boulevard and Hyperion Avenue, on the Silver Lake side of the Los Feliz – Silver Lake boundary.

Los Feliz was also home to many other early studios, such as D. W. Griffith's, which now houses The Prospect Studios (formally known as First National-Warner Brothers and more recently ABC Television Center), at the intersection of Prospect Avenue and Talmadge Street just down the street from my house!.

On Sunset Boulevard was Monogram Pictures (KCET public television), where early Charlie Chan movies were filmed, as well as Hurricane, starring Dorothy Lamour, and the camp classic Johnny Guitar. (The Western street from that movie remained until the mid-1980s, when KCET razed the set to make way for a parking structure.)

Walking distance to all Los Feliz has to offer or renting a car to get around Hollywood, Downtown LA, Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena and the beach.

Walking distance to shops, groceries, movies, live music at The Greek and restaurants in Los Feliz Village (Hillhurst Ave. & Vermont Ave.)

Metro bus to Hollywood, Downtown LA, Glendale, Burbank and DASH.

Upstairs long term neighbor has a cat that roams around the front yard.

The built-in wall gas furnace is a vintage piece, simple to use as per instructions provided but has a distinctive smell when first turn on which is normal on these type of vintage appliances.

Certain events are permitted, please ask me always. Los Feliz is a quite neighborhood so all parties must end by 10pm to respect our neighbors.

This apartment was very attractive and exactly as pictured, but the plumbing, lighting and window covering need to be updated for more comfortable living. The view at night was spectacular.

Dear Gillian, Thank you very much for your review and suggestions. It has been challenging to make some of the upgrades and fixes in the past few weeks due to my house been consistently occupied (fortunately). The next few days until this Friday I have a small window to do the following fixes and/or upgrades: Plumbing: With regard to the plumbing issue in the shower/tub I went ahead and replaced the tub faucet and shower head as it wasn't working properly. The tub will actually be reglazed in the next few days and will look as new without comprising the charm, look and feel of the bathroom and the house. The bathroom window was originally exterior (to the back of the house). When we added the laundry room with the washer and dryer to the back of the house the window of the bathroom opens to this room. I know this is not functional but it adds to the charm of the bathroom so I purposely had this window stay. I replaced the shower curtain liner. Lighting: the master bedroom has a quirk with the main switch this is due to the fan and lights placed on the same circuit. It may be a little annoying. The garden lights work fine and I did not notice any problems here. Curtains: As for the curtains on the master bedroom I never had anyone complaint about them and I feel they provide the right level of coverage. The curtains on the second room maybe a bit sheer for some people and not block the light but that second bedroom has not much light coming in the first so I do not consider this an urgent matter to address. TV: The TV works well and the instructions for the house (both online and on the white binder) provide simple instructions on how to operate them. The small problem you had with the picture was due to the TV not been on the right input. I normally communicate via text and when possible I made myself available in person and most guests find this acceptable. Again many thanks for all your suggestions as this helps me greatly. Nice location... close to Hollywood and sunset blvd... cozy home just a lot of dust. Host is great just takes a while to respond. Overall great stay...

The area is perfect. The space is cozy, there was a lot of dust in the house and there was dander from the cats--something I should have been aware of--but it was overwhelming for me. If you have a mild car allergy this is not the spot for you. But I'd recommend it to those without the allergy.

Great location and fantastic view. Loved the proximity to near restaurants and grocery store. It was amazingly quiet given that we were in the heart of LA.

Outstanding stay in this fun old home. Our family of 5 with 3 children under the age of 7 felt right at home! Kitchen had everything we needed, towels and beds were comfortable and like new, front lawn and views were perfect! Our little ones made friends with the upstairs tenant's cat who did sneak in a few times. Check in was simple, neighbors were friendly, and neighborhood had everything we needed. Perfect location for getting to everything we wanted visit. We'd stay here again in an instant. Great house!

The house in Los Feliz is great, comfortable, and cozy. Close to everything , parking is also easy. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would definitely recommend this place!
