I loved staying in Queen Anne district. The neighborhood was mature and safe to walk and explore. There are bus lines, grocery stores, parks all in walking distance from Rahul quiet quaint neighborhood. Please be advised that the neighborhood is hilly and has several inclines to get to and from the house. Rahul has a lovely no fringes home that will meet anyone's basic standards. The host room is on the second floor with a private bathroom outside of the room. The room was adequate although there way no air conditioning provided but a fan in the window. The house was fairly clean but needed daily cleaning due to airborne dog hairs and a comforter that was placed in front of the couch for the dog and never removed or cleaned. The couch fabric also peeled and would get all over your skin and clothes. I felt the need to clean up daily due to the dog situation which I didn't know prior to booking or I would of not booked. I am an allergy sufferer and airborne Lab hairs kept me feeling sickly. I maintained the common quarters because no one else did. I believe if you remain in a home for 12 days at least the host should provide one good basic cleaning. Rahul is a very busy gentleman and allows you to feel at home away from home. He communicated well before and during our stay. He has great energy and was always available if needed. If your desires are to stay in the Queen Anne district to be walking distance to downtown (a few miles away) and want to be in a nice quiet place, I would recommend you give Rahul place a try. Just make sure you have an understanding on cleaning per length of stay, animals, and host's quest. And make sure Rahul does his share of keeping the common areas clean.
Rahul was a great host. He sent a detailed email with information about his place before we arrived and everything was exactly as described in the listing. We had the second floor pretty much to ourselves, including a private bathroom. We enjoyed our stay in Queen Anne as well. It's very residential where the home is, but also close to a great street (Queen Anne Ave) where there are cute shops and great restaurants. It was always easy to get picked up or dropped off by Uber or catch the bus.
Rahul's place was perfect for us! We wanted a quiet, clean place in QA for a few days, and this fit the bill exactly as described. Just the right amount of space, with a good sized bedroom, comfortable bed, and private bathroom just across the hall. We also had access to the living room with a big comfy couch and large flatscreen TV, as well as the shared kitchen, dining table, with all the things necessary to cook & store food if we had wanted to. Rahul was kind & offered to pickup some French roast Via coffee, so I could have my morning fix before we headed out for the day. We saw him a few times here and there, and he was always quite pleasant, asking if we needed anything and confirming our satisfaction with our stay. The location is quiet, a tree-lined safe, residential neighborhood, typical of Queen Anne. Street parking was easy...always had our pick of several spots out front adjacent to the house. Simple and quick access to the other neighborhoods - Magnolia, Ballard, upper & lower Queen Anne, etc. We'd definitely look for his place in a return trip to Seattle.
