So you’ll be in an ideal spot, since it’s easy to get anywhere in the city since it’s very well connected with other neighborhoods. Taksim Square is at a 8 min. walk away, and the nearest metro stations is on theTaksim Square. Literally in 5 min., you’ll be in the middlle of the famous İstiklal Street with nice bars, cafés and restaurants, art galleries, bookshops and design boutiques. You are very close to Çukurcuma, famous with its special antique and vintage shops, design studios and cafes. The building is situated at the very center of Cihangir, almost on the Sıraselviler street, very close to Firuzağa Mosque, which is well-known with the open coffee&tea garden that is considered as the meeting spot of the neighborhood.
Apart from various sorts of cafes, bars, and restaurants, you can find all sorts of shops, including supermarkets, greengrocers and a local grocery shop at the ground floor of the building right across the street, open till 4 oclock in the morning.

Decorated by paying attention to preserve its original character, it’s a 60 squaremeters doublex apartment with high ceiling, wooden floors, and a lovely terrace.

It has two bedrooms, with a single bed in each, a living room with a pull-out couch for 2 people, a separate dining area, a kitchen, a small bathroom, and a rooftop from where you can reach the terrace.

What a wonderful place to land upon arriving in Istanbul! The listing originally attracted me because of the bright colors and obvious attention to making a pleasant home. But the reality surpasses even the pictures. Beril's home is perfectly located - in a great neighborhood, walking distance to many cool things, and in close proximity to both the metro and the tram. The flat itself is so comfortable to be in - the rooms are a bit small, but Beril has made them feel bigger by the light and her tasteful decorations. The terrace on the second level is a wonderful addition and a beautiful place to spend a breezy evening or sunny morning. Beril herself is an open, kind and incredibly interesting woman. She was great to talk to, to get the lay of the city and also understand politics and culture of the country. I was only sad that she was so busy and we didn't get to spend more time talking. In terms of the nitty gritty, the room is pretty tiny (but there's ample storage space for your stuff so that it doesn't feel cramped) and there's garbage collection right under the window several times a night. But all of that is worth it for a stay in this lovely flat that feels like home.

Beril is an excellent host. She made me feel at home and at ease, and was always helpful and available. Her apartment is cozy, beautiful, and was perfect for my one month stay in Istanbul. The street is quiet, but very close to all the cools spots in Cihangir. Tramway is 10 min walk away. I highly recommend a stay with Beril!

I guess i hit the jackpot staying at Beril's place. Beril was a super nice host, though my trip to Istanbul was a bit of Mess but with her it was different, she did her best to make me feel comfortable, safe and fun. the first day she wasn't in the apartment but she could ask a nice friend of her to welcome me. the flat is super nice much more nicer than the photos, cozy lovely and super nice you can find whatever you need to feel home, for me Beril's flat was home!!! it's location is just close to everything 5 mins walk and you'll be in the middle of everything the best thing is that this flat is located in a super calm neighbourhood in Istanbul!! i would totally recommend guests to stay at Beril's flat. Thank you Beril for everything you did.
