I have a small but very comfortable box double bedroom available in the heart of Edinburgh's old town. The flat is within a historic coverted brewery just a few minutes walk from the Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace, and the Scottish Parliament.
The Nether Craigwell Brewery was built at the end of the 19th Century and ran successfully as such up until 1955. In the 1980’s the brewery was converted into a number of unique flats and cottages.
I have a small (box room) double available in my two bedroom flat. The bed is a fold out double futon which I'm reliably informed by friends is very comfortable. Although the room is small, it has a corner desk with empty shelves and some hanging space on the door so that you can make yourself at home.
*UPDATE* After a couple of guests reported that they did found the futon a little firm for there liking, I've invested in a super thick memory foam topper. Hopefully that'll keep even the most sensitive sleepers comfortable!
As I'm new to Airbnb please do not hesitate to let me know what would make your stay more comfortable. I'll do my best to accommodate all requests!

Guests share a bathroom (with bath and overhead shower), living/ dining room, and small but very well appointed modern kitchen with me. The living/ dining room is very bright and comfortable with a juliet balcony looking out over old town and Arthur's peak.
I'm happy to provide juice, bread, jams, cereal, and milk for breakfast plus you're more than welcome to have some cupboard and fridge space so that you can bring your own supplies.
Super fast broadband now installed too!

As much as you would like! I work most week days and some weekends so for much of the time you'll have the flat to yourself.
Please verify your profile (including ID) before messaging me as I will ask you to do this anyway before accepting any requests. It only takes a few minutes!
Gay friendly guests would be good....or we might have a problem there! Oh and I have some pet newts (!)... they're very small and quiet so I don't think they'll cause you too much bother. :)
This is a second floor flat with no lift, plus the cobbles in the courtyard are a bit uneven and as the bed is a futon it is low to the floor. This may make the flat unsuitable for less able guests.
This is my home so please treat it like you would your own.
I try to recycle and be as green as possible when it comes to energy use so I'd be grateful if guests could try to do the same.
The flat is non-smoking.
