Description

This is a spacious and light top floor flat in traditional Georgian tenement building in Edinburgh's Newtown. This lovely historic
area is quiet and residential despite being
only 10-15 minute walk from Princes Street. The flat is on the top (third floor) with views across the local Park to Fife.


There are three double bedrooms, two of these have king size beds. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room with a roomy walk in shower. There is a second bathroom with bath and shower. The flat is centrally heated. There is a large lounge and a large dining kitchen.

The New Town is a treat. Beautiful architecture and so special to live in residential streets in the heart of a city centre. The flat overlooks Scotland Yard park, is round the corner from the Scotland Street of the Alexander McCall Smith novels. There is a local supermarket, delicatessans and a host of good value homely restaurants and wine bars for casual dining. The botanic gardens and walks along the Water of Leith are within 5 minutes walk. Stockbridge is 5 minutes walk away, with more local shops and eating. If you go into Edinburgh centre, the shops, bars and restaurants of Princes Street and George St are a short walk up hill. The Omni centre with multiple cinema screens, play house theatre are also a short walk away.


This is a top floor traditional tenement flat which means that there are three flights of shared stairs to climb.

The two bedrooms with kingsize beds are shown. The third bedroom is spacious and has a double bed but is also used as an office so has a large desk and book shelves.

There is wifi but only small screen TV.

Happy for guests to make reasonable use of kitchen store cupboard provisions, tea coffee etc.

The flat isn't suitable for small children but I would prefer no children under 10 years of age.

No smoking in the flat or in the stair which is a public space and no pets.

The flat is perfect for a family or small group of friends. About 10 minutes from the centre of Edinburgh, it is bright, airy and well looked after. Could not recommend enough!

Jane is a wonderful host with a wonderful apartment. It is in a perfect location for exploring Edinburgh. I thoroughly recommend her to any future guests

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable and delightful apartment situated within walking distance of Edinburgh city centre in a lovely Georgian crescent. My communication with Jane was very helpful and informative and she was very welcoming. The apartment is very spacious, clean and comfortable and was an ideal place to relax after a busy day in Edinburgh. It was lovely to be able to sit together around the kitchen table or relax together in the roomy lounge. I recommend this apartment without reservation.

Jane was the best host I've come across! She emailed me before our check in date to ask if there's anything she can arrange and sorted out any request we had. Also, she made sure that all of the basics (and much more!) were in the kitchen for us which is really helpful when doing a short trip away. The flat was absolutely perfect in terms of size and location. Each room has space for clothes which was also really helpful and rare to come across with Airbnbs. In summary - I would highly recommend this flat as it is a home away from home where all the finer details have been taken care of so you can just relax and enjoy your break!

We loved this place! Great location, walking distance to Old Town. Spacious, colorful and comfortable apartment was perfect for our family. Kitchen, pantry and fridge were fully stocked and hostess graciously invited us to eat anything we wished. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Jane was a brilliant host - great communication and was there to welcome us. The apartment was incredibly well provided for. Fresh fruit, milk, an array of breakfast goodies and teas and coffees. The apartment felt like home, Jane recommended restaurants and then met us at the end of a busy day at the Fringe with our suitcases so we could quickly catch the tram. Definitely recommend and we will be back!
