Modern, spacious, bright 1st floor apt cleaned to COVID guidance. Sunderland & Newcastle 20-30 mins away. 5 min to beaches. Free street parking. Sleeps 6; 2 bedrooms & 4 Beds-1 king (& single), 1 double, living room double sofa bed. Family bathroom with bath & power shower. 50Mb/s WIFI. Well furnished & equipped.

Like all of our other beautiful Dwellcome Home properties, this great property has every single base that a business or leisure traveller needs covered and retains the really homely feel of all of our places which is reflected in all of our reviews..

Being well travelled for business and pleasure myself both with and without my children I know what it takes to make a place homely for both adults and kids alike and that is my aim for all of our properties, to create a home away from home for all, whether you are her for business or pleasure.

Fully renovated in the last 2 years, this first floor apt has 2 bedrooms (1 king, plus single bed, 1 double and 1 sofa bed), family bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, lounge/diner , a nice private outside sitting area in the back this property, reliable fast fibre broadband so offers excellent living space for guests to enjoy:

Bedrooms comprise:

Master: Spacious bright room. King and single beds with brand new Silent Night memory foam mattresses. Bedside table and lamp. Lovely large Bay window with open aspect. 2 large wardrobes in the alcoves provide ample clothes storage.

Second Bedroom: bright, lovely room with double bed with brand new Silent Night memory foam mattress. Bedside table and lamp. Lovely large box window.

Ground floor: Secure front door leads to lobby with space for boots, outdoor clothing etc. Stairs to the First floor.

From the kitchen the back stairs leads to lovingly renovated private back outside area seating where a garden table and 4 chairs are provided to have drinks, dine or just sit in the sun and enjoy the company. The yard gets full sun from afternoon until early evening.

First floor: other than the bedrooms described above, which are all accessed off the front landing, there is also:

Lounge / Diner - to left from first floor landing top of stairs: Comfortable, spacious & bright with wood effect flooring. Ample seating with beautiful 3 seater orange leather sofa and comfy full double sofa bed. 32" Sony TV with free view channels and a Now TV stick is also provided to enable iPlayer, Netflix, etc to be played. The extendable dining table sits 4-6. A highchair can also be provided on request.

Kitchen - straight on from the lounge: Fridge freezer, electric cooker with 4 electric hobs and oven, microwave, kettle, cafetiere and toaster. Tea and coffee are provided. Breakfast bar and 2 stools. Washer/drier with detergent, iron/ironing board, cleaning products/utensils. Excellently stocked kitchen with good range or pans, casserole dishes, etc.

Heating is central heating powered by our brand new gas combination boiler and controlled using the room thermostat to ensure a constant cosy temperature is kept at all times. NOTE: Unlike many serviced accommodation we have central heating controlled by guests to maintain a cosy temperature, NOT ones which switch off after 2 hours so places can get very cold when going out of the place for a few hours or every night.

Large family bathroom with large bath tub to relax in a the end of a busy day. Mains fed (from brand new combination boiler) shower, towel radiator, wc, wash hand basin/storage drawer and tiled flooring.

Ample free on street parking right in front of the property. No permit is required.

STRICTLY 6 ADULTS MAXIMUM - this is to rule out bookings from large non-family groups (folks coming to the area to party!). We have had to remove guests in the past, police involved, etc and have measures in place to prevent this occurring again so please do not try to book unless you are the right type of guest.

Only persons included in the booking allowed into the apartment unless related to care etc which can be discussed on booking. Bedrooms will be locked off for smaller groups

Autres remarques
Guest type: The property is strictly not for events/parties (unless by agreement with myself), or for guests who will not respect my neighbours, specifically in terms of noise. Strictly no events (I.e. photoshoots, etc unless by prior agreement). I have lovely downstairs neighbours who help me with the property and are my friends. Please do not book if you are not confident that the whole occupants will keep to this throughout your stay. If the are noise issues guests will be removed. I had to do this in my Aberdeen apartment with Police involvement and it is not an experience I am keen to revisit...

Access: We are on the first floor so use of stairs is essential to enjoy our apartment.

Check in: Please note we use a self check in service which allows a good level of check in for guests arriving late. Although I do try to meet guests whenever possible please note it is not policy to greet guests on arrival but I always ask guests to contact me once they are into the place and to confirm that everything is to their satisfaction or otherwise so I can resolve any possible issues satisfactorily.

Dog Policy: As South Shields is renowned for its beautiful beaches it is a dog lovers haven. Well behaved dogs welcome but definitely not allowed onto the chairs/sofas or rooms with carpets. Please contact me before booking if you have dogs to provide assurance that house rules will be followed. A nominal fee of £10 per stay per dog is charged to cover potential cleaning work to ensure all dog hairs are removed by our cleaning professionals prior to next guests arriving.

Since we started welcoming guests in late 2017 we have had visitors associated with Newcastle University & Northumbria University, Sunderland University, Sunderland Empire, Stadium of Light & the Aquatics Centre, Newcastle Theatre Royal, St James' Park, South Tyneside Marine College, and people here just to explore our stunning coastline! Enjoy the trendy Quayside & The Ouseburn in Newcastle, Castles in Northumberland, and Cathedral in Durham which are all within 30 minutes of South Shields whilst enjoying our beautiful Dwellcome Home luxury apartments all within a short 5 minutes drive of our beautiful beaches.

In a really quiet street yet less than 5 minutes drive/25 minutes walk to the beautiful Seafront; beaches & parks, bars and restaurants, etc.

Nice restaurants (e.g. Lasun Indian restaurant) and bars (Nine Bar, Hedworth Hall, The County etc) within few minutes walk, and ample shops nearby, local mini supermarkets open till late, and Aldi / 24hr ASDA a few minutes drive in South Shields centre. There is also excellent transport links to Sunderland with a very regular bus service taking approximately 30 minutes including walk to the bus stop from our place.

I will do my best to make guests feel at home and provide as much information as I can on the area as they wish gained from being brought up in South Shields and knowing the area, including Newcastle, etc. inside out.

I try to meet and greet guests wherever possible and if they would prefer this by prior agreement. However, as I travel regularly I cannot be guaranteed to be around to meet in person but I have support for all of my properties and I am always available via telephone as and when required.
