The Supermarché P.A. is a 5 minute walk away. Its a legendary grocery store in the heart of Mile End. 10 minutes walk to Mont-Royal park where Montrealers go to relax, play music and picnic. Every Sunday it hosts the famous Tam Tams where the city gets together for a party in the park.
There are countless cafés and restaurants within easy walking distance, and if you need something for one of the many Bring Your Own Wine/Beer restos the SAQ is right around the corner.
There's parking on the street but you need to read the signs carefully, about 2/3 of the block is permit only between 9am & 11pm. There is quite a bit of turnover so free parking does come available regularly but also fills up quickly There is plenty of metered parking around and there is a pay parking lot about a block away.
The 80 bus runs up and down av du Parc and can take you to downtown in 10-15 minutes.
The 51 bus runs along av Laurier and will take you to Laurier metro stop (Orange line) in about 5 minutes - you could walk there in 15 minutes.
Bixi is the local bike rental system and there is a stand on Laurier just the other side of du Parc.
