Le logement

The cottage is unique in that it is one of the few double lots left on the island. That means there is ample parking, landscape and additional privacy that allowed by a residential neighborhood and Ocean Drive for walking and bike riding. In fact, there is a new bike path that runs for miles into the town of Emerald Isle.

Accès des voyageurs

While the cottage is listed as a duplex, the second residence is a garage efficiency apartment that is rented long term. The mail cottage is full footage as appears in the posting. Two bedrooms and two master baths.

I am available throughout your stay for questions and further information including wifi, cable, and tourist information.

Le quartier

What is unique is that the beach access is private to the neighborhood and therefore the beach itself is open and not at all congested. Our high vantage point location is under the mid island Water Tower which makes it easy to locate and also we have clear Atlantic Ocean view from the front deck.

There is ample parking for 4 vehicles. There is a garage for bike storage and fishing gear. There is one main island road. There is a new Dollar General 2 miles away, otherwise the area is strictly residential.

This is a wonderful stay for a small family. Beach access, a small town feel, centrally located to commerce. The house is well appointed and has all the comforts of home. Delia was always in communications and made sure we had all our needs met. A wonderful experience.

This home is lovely and well-equipped, close to a beautiful beach in a quiet neighborhood mid-island. Delia is great with communication. This is our second stay here and I know we will be back again!

Staying at Toots Shore is a simply wonderful NC beach experience. This home is in a lovely and quiet neighborhood. Furnishings are comfortable, tasteful and clean, kitchen has all the equipment you could possibly want (for those who like to cook!) WiFi is fast and reliable. The view from the deck of the ocean is just as pictured and the double doors from the living/kitchen space to the deck really allow you to feel outdoors while indoors. Delia's email communications were very helpful - she even warned us the day before our arrival that some roads may be closed due to recent weather/flooding so we were able to plot an alternate route using the NCDOT website -- saved us hours of backtracking! Recommended for a relaxing beach vacation!

As a first time Airbnb-er I was nervous, but Delia was VERY sweet and gave me lots of good information before our arrival of what to expect. It was as wonderful as she described.

Delia is a dream host and Toot's was a wonderful experience. It completely lived up to the description, and my partner and I enjoyed everything about it for the three weeks we stayed there. Delia was welcoming, inclusive, and beyond accommodating. She truly cares for her guests to feel welcomed. She checked in when necessary to make sure the move in and out was smooth, and gave plenty of space for us to enjoy everything Toot's had to offer. It's hard to believe, but Toot's proximity to the ocean and the privacy it offers are hard to beat. I truly recommend this host and listing to anyone hoping to make some wonderful memories.

I am a MA.ED educator, trainer, facilitator and events coordinator. I have one daughter and 3 grandchildren who live in Iowa. I currently live in the Tampa Bay Metro area of Florida.

I loved my travel to Italy and I most want to return to Meso America. I am a woman who practices living the Lunar cycle of Time, which is also called natural time. 28 days, 13 moons and 365 days in a year with one day out of time. This is a grounding for the Aquarius Age which is here now and feminine energy. Women emerging as leaders will be much in demand with the Shifts happening with weather (climate change), energy (solar, etc.) and humanity in general. We are all part of the New Time that is requiring us to unite and live as community. Our Emerald Isle home is on a sacred island. There is a labyrinth within 10 minutes at the St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal church. There is much history with the Roosevelt reserve, Shackelford Island horses, Beaufort on the Inter-coastal waterway and Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge. I am an artist by avocation and love dancing along with golf play.

I am Vegan (though eat fresh shimp from EI), have just adopted two Siamese kittens from the CARE shelter where I volunteer, enjoy the DALI Museum in St. Petersburg, watch professional golf and love wildlife here in Florida.
