Jesse: I'm a lifelong South Austinite & I've watched this city grow from small-town to small-town-with-large-population. Any questions you have about events, restaurants, landmarks, history, culture, quirky trivia, I'll be happy to answer--or at the very least make up an amusing answer.
My wife & I keep a happy, fun-loving, & grounded home with our son. Living in SouthSouth Austin definitely has its perks--we're able to experience all the incredible entertainment this city has to offer, & then come back to our quiet neighborhood & watch the deer eat grass just over the back fence. Great neighbors and quiet area.
When traveling, I like to go for adventure: snowboarding, hiking, and/or camping with my family. My wife Katy works in international education for a local company, and speaks some Turkish. She loves to tell you why Austin is awesome, and will give you all the recommendations you could ever want for just about any activity you're interested in. Our son likes to ask questions, eat, and build stuff.
Staying here at our home means you'll have the comfort of an open, easy-to-live-in space with little interference. I'm never more than a phone call away should you need anything at all.
