Beautiful property with tons of room for everyone. Robert was awesome at answering all my questions quickly. The house came fully equipped with all the essentials and is in a great location with bike trail access behind the property.

The houses accommodated all our party and the upper house living area was big enough to have everyone meeting together. However we were limited to take our meals inside as the outdoor table is only good for 8-10 people at most. Kids has blast in playing hide and seek, running up and down the stairs.

This place is huge, but kinda weirdly put together... Overall great place to stay, can accommodate the number of people specified comfortably.

Robert's home is exactly how it is depicted. It butts up against cross country trails with beautiful views. There is more than enough room for the 15 of us this past weekend - and everyone was able to have a bed. We had a wonderful time staying here!

We had a great stay at Roberts place. It was definitely big enough for all 13 of us. The backyard and spas were so much fun.

Robert's place was excellent, just as described. He was also super communicative during the stay. We had an issue with one appliance and he went out of his way to solve the problem. He is a great host.

This house puts the “fun” in “funky” For a number of years, members of our Aikido dojo has attended an annual seminar in Tahoe, held at the Rideout Community Center. We make up a largish group, and we had in the past used a particular house with a good number of beds and couches, but that was not available this year - so this was our first time at this location. And I truly think this may become our “go-to” house for future events! The house layout is rather unique. It’s really two houses connected by a cool, slight spooky, enclosed stairway. Because of this, a few dubbed it “Winchester Mystery House”, although others were reminded of a FrontierLand ride at Disneyland, perhaps Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The actually name is “The Secluded Tahoe Mansion”, which describes it well. This brought out for me how much SUPER fun this would have been for my nine year old self: a fantastic place to play hide-and-go-seek! Lots of unique and mysterious nooks and crannies and discoveries to be made. What’s behind that door? Where does this stairway lead? What does this light switch turn on? I think I may have gone a bit back to my more childlike self while I was here. Besides the main covered stairway (which I imagine must be essential in winter), even as we explored and set ourselves up, people popped out in surprise from the various other stairways and paths between the two houses. It takes a bit to get a full sense of the layout and how everything connects, and for me that was a huge part of the fun. This “two-houses connected” layout means that there is two of everything, for both the lower house and the upper house: two kitchens, two hot tubs (one actually rather centrally located between both), two laundry areas, and so on. Having two kitchens was great - we used the upstairs house kitchen primarily, as that’s located next to the larger dining area where we gathered, but we also used the downstairs kitchen for some items to be brought up. What makes this work so well for our group is the good number of sleeping surfaces available, beds, foldout couches, beds in lofts, and even comfortable couches to nap on. One room is especially well suited for groups that like to bunk together, with a large bed below, but more in an upstairs loft. And yet as communal as all of this is, some privacy can also be found. There were times when folks were scattered through the length of the house, and had space for themselves to rest or reflect. And of course, having good number of bathrooms also works very well! Didn’t see a pool table, as mentioned in the house description, but that was OK because many of us spent lots of time outside. The Secluded Tahoe Mansion seems more genuinely rural than other Tahoe locations I’ve been to, even though it’s just as close...
