Le logement
(NOTE: if this room isn’t available, please check out our Art Escape Buffalo Room here: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/37930799)

THE STUDIO ROOM:

Getting here:

You’ll be driving through a gorgeous wonderland when you reach the entrance of Art Escape. We’re about 1.5 miles up Tally Lake Rd from Farm-to-Market Rd.

If there’s snow, it’s no problem. The road is virtually always plowed but depending on the weather, you’ll may need a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Good snow or studded tires on a 2-wheel car seem to do just fine also. Feel free to message us prior to booking if you're concerned about driving here.

Organic Food:

We strive to create an environment that supports wellbeing and that’s why we’re proud to offer you the same organic hot cereal mix or a yummy egg dish we eat ourselves. Everything is 100% ORGANIC, very high fiber and gluten-free, made with:

Oatmeal, quinoa, buckwheat, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, raisins and fixins … Ceylon cinnamon (the healthy kind), almond milk, maple syrup and butter! Yum.

Your organic homemade cereal will be waiting for you when you wake up in the studio refrigerator in single serving containers. You can warm it up using the stovetop or the microwave (though it’s a lot healthier heated up on the stove).

Doctor it up your way in your own semi-private kitchenette. (Kitchenette is actually part of the ceramic art studio.)

You can bring whatever food you want to prepare including chicken, pork or beef, but no fish. The kitchenette is right in the studio and Steve can’t handle the smell.

The house used to be a barn so it has some cool lines and features. It's well insulated in all seasons.

There is plenty of parking right outside of the Buffalo room. The room, bath and kitchen area are all on the main floor level so there are no stairs required to access the room.

THE CERAMIC STUDIO: Charged separately:

Please let us know ahead of time if you'd like to use the studio.

We have several areas set aside to play with clay. The garage studio is where you’ll probably be most comfortable. It’s equipped with everything you’ll need to be creative.

If you want a lesson, let us know. If you want to be left alone, no problem at all. We totally get it.

$25 materials fee + $25/day or $125/week. includes one 25# bag of clay, basic throwing tools and materials, firing (if you're here long enough) and lots of good company. If you aren’t here to fire your finished piece, we can do it for you and mail your piece to you.

Or you can paint one of our pieces. We will fire it and mail it to you. Prices vary.

What else you really should know:

• Unlimited Hot Water! We have a new on-demand system that means you will NEVER run out of hot water. Not only that but the shower is large and there are two shower heads, so shower with a friend!

Firepit:

Wood is available if you want to build a sweet little fire in the evening (weather permitting). Your first bundle of wood per night comes with the room so you can cook anything on a stick!

The Kitchenette:

• We've done our best to equip it with just about everything you'll need to cook a real meal so that you can just stay here and relax rather than going out. At no extra charge we've provided the basic herbs you may want: salt, pepper, garlic (hello) and whatever else previous guests have donated.

• There's coffee and tea, both regular and decaf of both plus creamers and sugars (no fake ones though...yuk) for your enjoyment as well.

• This room is located directly under the kitchen of the main house. You can expect to hear normal kitchen sounds including the possibility of a juicer and/or a blender AFTER 7 AM. If you are seriously looking for a place to sleep in past 7 AM, this may not be the best choice for you.

• We are actively creating and playing in the new ceramic studio so are busy in the house and outside after 7 AM.

• The queen mattress was new this year and it’s in great shape. Everyone loves it.

• NOTE ABOUT WIFI: as noted in the WIFI section, we turn off the WIFI when we sleep. WIFI is turned on at 7 am or earlier and turned off between 9-10 PM. If you need to use a computer or device that requires WIFI, you’ll need to use your smart phone hot spot. WIFI has been shown to cause many potential detrimental health issues so we choose not to sleep with it on.

Accès des voyageurs
As our guests, you'll have access to not only you shared full bath, the entry way, the full kitchenette in the ceramic studio, but also the the huge lawn and surrounding 10 acres of property.

If that's not enough, you hike in some of the most breathtakingly beautiful National forests you've ever seen, right from your door.

Artists: If you'd like to use the ceramic studio, it's available for paid use and Steve will be thrilled! Lessons available for und (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) . Such a deal!

Autres remarques
This is the real deal...it's a home with a ceramic art studio and a couple of 60 year-old artists.

We live life fully and completely. We're here to create from our imaginations and have the life of our dreams while doing so and we would love in invite others to share in the space if so inclined.

Everybody loves Elisabeth. She has a background in fitness and occasionally takes guests on nature hikes. She is a natural born teacher and loves to share her love of nutrition, health, wisdom and life.

If Steve is in his studio, he's lost his rational mind and is in the 'other place.'

The grounds are also available for art projects, picnics, bird watching, star gazing, staring into your lovers eyes, falling in love, meditating, exercising and well, you get the point.

Who this place is NOT FOR:

Again, this is a Montana home on 10 acres geared towards the arts, especially ceramic arts. The Kitchenette is shared with the ceramic studio as is the shared bathroom.

Because of the above reason, it's likely that you may occasionally find little bits of smeared clay in the most unlikely of places. :-)

If you're the super fussy type, Art Escape is probably not the right place for you.

* NOTE to Electric Car Guests: $12 fee per charge.

We have a few neighbors within a mile or so. Mostly critters most of them are harmless.

That being said, we carry bear spray just in case when we hike into the woods.

I am responsible as they come. My mom taught me to leave things in better shape than I found them. My boyfriend, Steve, and I love to explore and meet new people when we get the chance.

Because we are actively working in our ceramic studio, you'll see either one or both of us and we're happy to chat (unless we're focusing and in which case, we'll just let you know. :-)
