Our two week trip to PGA West was fabulous. The four of us were working at the BNP Paribas Open tennis event so our hours were long and we needed somewhere quiet and relaxing to come home to. And this place was it.
The house is exactly as appears in the pictures – large, comfortable and well equipped. It has three en-suite bathrooms and one half bathroom adjacent to the bedroom with twin beds. With three showers and four of us, that was not a problem but the bedroom with those twin beds is very bright – it is probably best suited to someone who gets up early as the sun rises and shines. For anyone not working until 2am (and so wanting a lie in), that should not be a problem in the beautiful surroundings of the golf course and the California desert. The place is spectacular.
Mitsuru was a fabulous host. Checking in could not be easier, no matter when you arrive (Mitsuru will tell you all about that) and checking out is just as easy. And he is always on hand if you have any problems. For example, he arranged for as many front door keys as we wanted because we were all working to different schedules and needed to be independent. And he is always available if you have any problems.
We managed to trip one of the fuses in the kitchen so killing the power to the fridge and a few other appliances (four busy journalists trying to make breakfast and get to work at the same time was probably too much for the system…. journos in a hurry can cause all sorts of issues). But as soon as I contacted Mitsuru, he had the problem fixed in no time. Quick, efficient and seamless. He is an excellent host and landlord.
PGA West has very strict rules and regulations about all sorts of things (garbage collection, parking, guests coming to the house etc etc) but all of these rules are explained simply in the house info book. Mitsuru’s guide to staying in the complex makes it all as easy as pie. You cannot go wrong (trust me, I’ve stayed in PGA West for many, many years in different houses and Mitsuru made this trip one of the easiest of them all).
Top home, top host, top location – you can’t go wrong. Thanks Mitsuru… we had a great time.
