This historical mansion is a wonderful example of authentic stone houses of the region, with many examples of intricate carved artwork, an inner courtyard and a large terrace with terrific views of Mesopotamian plains.
The house is centrally located in "Old Mardin" in a quiet residential neighborhood, surrounded with historical sites. It has been recently renovated, restoring the original stone carvings of the walls and ceilings.
Most of the living space has incredibly high ceilings, making the house very spacious and airy. The courtyard and the terrace offer additional private relaxation areas where you can enjoy your coffee or tea.
A devoted nature and animal (crazy about cats), I have been working with social projects dedicated to raising the social & economic standards of the women of South Eastern Turkey. As part of my work, I have been living and traveling extensively in the South Eastern Region of Turkey for 10 years. I am in love with the stone-masonry & artwork of Mardin houses. Renovating this old mansion and sharing it with fellow travel enthusiasts has been an old dream of mine, which is becoming a reality now!
