À propos de ce logement

Centrally-located, comfortable and charming 1905 railroad house with plenty of space for hanging out, gourmet cooking, or simply feeling at home while exploring Missoula. Located near the railroad tracks on the hip West Side of town - less than 10 minutes by car from downtown, trailheads, & campus.

Le logement

The two-bedroom, one-bath house has an open layout, lots of light, and a big kitchen. We recently refurbished the space with new paint, new floors, and kitchen and bath renovations so it's clean and modern while still retaining its original 1905 charm.

The house has:
- Two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a full bed (futon style mattress), plus a couch in the living room that can convert to a full bed.
- New washer/dryer
- Lots of closet/dresser space
- Fully appointed kitchen and dining room
- New appliances
- Fenced front and back yards
- Front porch and back patio
- Off-street parking in the back, street parking in front
- Wireless internet and TV (no cable)

We will meet you during check-in and are available for questions, recommendations and help, but we live across town so you'll have privacy during your stay. We will be available via phone, text, or email during your stay, and we love to share information about our town!

Missoula's West Side is a quiet but lively neighborhood. We are one block from the tree-lined West Side park which has a great playground and "sprayground" (splash pool for kids). We are four blocks from DraughtWorks Brewery ((website hidden)and there are often food carts set up nearby.

A five minute walk will take you to Summer Sun (garden shop with beer, wine, and basic groceries), our climbing gym, and Olive and Iron (a clothing boutique). Walk to a large grocery store in 10 minutes.

We're just a couple blocks from the railroad tracks and you can hear Missoula's charming "train thunder" occasionally as trains move through town.

Railroad House is situated on a quiet block with sweet neighbors. Mountains are visible through our windows, as is plenty of Montana's big sky.

There is a bus stop 6 blocks away, and it's an easy 15 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride to downtown. There's plenty of street parking and one off-street parking spot in the back.

Our house is cozy and modest in size: the bedrooms are small but adequate, while the living space feels open and roomy. If you have any questions, just ask!

No smoking and no pets, please. No large gatherings without prior approval. We love our neighbors, and we hope they love you too! After your stay, we hope to find our home in the same shape we left it - generally, anyway. We kindly ask that you start a load of bedding and/or towels and bath mats the morning of your departure. If you can get them into the dryer, we'd appreciate that too. We ask that you do your dishes (there is a dishwasher). You are welcome to do personal laundry, but not more than makes sense for your length of stay. Please clean the dryer lint trap with each load. We also hope that you let us know if something goes wrong. We ask that all guests sign a basic liability waiver. We're happy to send it to you prior to your stay, at your request. We love our little house, and we hope you do too.

A quaint historic home creatively refurbished. Room for 4 comfortably. Walking distance to river walk, shops, restaurants, and famous Saturday market. Nice park a few doors down. We loved Tamarack Brewery....best fish tacos and huevos rancheros....and apricot beer among many other fine ones. Access to many hiking trails both far and near Excellent communication by a gracious host and very quick to provide needed information on any subject.

A great place to stay with a lot of charm. We enjoyed being able to walk to the neighborhood pub with good food and craft beers.

We loved Candice's place. Larger than we expected and in a quiet neighborhood. We were able to walk to town easily and found loads of restaurants, coffee shops and breweries within easy reach. Would definitely visit again. Candice was easy to work with and communicated impeccably. Love Missoula now and can't wait to visit again.

I had a great time at Candice's place. Her home is clean and quiet, with all the amenities you need, including a lovely yard. The location is central and it's easy to get anywhere from there. Communication was excellent and Candice offered some great recommendations - all in all, staying at her place made our vacation even better! Thanks, Candice!

I'm from Kansas City, MO but have called Missoula home for years. I love our mountain town and all the adventures it has to offer.

I'm an art teacher and ceramic artist by trade, and I love exploring Montana with my spirited kiddo. I'm always excited to show off the best parts of Missoula (Have questions? Please ask!) and look forward to hearing about you and what brings you to our mountains.

I love working in my garden, and making little, fresh flower arrangements to welcome guests. I'm way into the Montana local food movement. I absolutely recommend stopping by our Farmer's Markets, visiting restaurants that support local farmers, and even checking out our local Co-Op and grocery store. Missoula is a really special place. ❤️
