Relax and unwind at Irvington Spring Farm's spacious Sunflower Suite. Take in nature year-round - pond, creeks, forest, gardens. Enjoy the private, on-site sauna. Wander around our flower farm. Walking access to 9 miles of hiking/biking trails. Sleeps up to 8 on 2 open floors: queen bed, king bed, sleeper sofa, and futon. 5 min to shopping and restaurants. 10-15 min to Liberty, Randolph, & U of Lynchburg. 25 min from the Blue Ridge Pkwy and the Appalachian Trail.

Le logement
PLEASE NOTE: The flower farm is an outdoor operation, so during the winter after the first frost comes, the fields lie fallow until the spring. (There are no flowers in the winter, but it's still beautiful).

Irvington Spring Farm is truly a one-of-a-kind property. It's perfectly tucked away - a remote nature getaway only a few minutes from restaurants, groceries, universities, and all the conveniences of Lynchburg city.

We encourage our guests to walk around the farm which is 150 ft from the suite. Enjoy the sights. Smell and listen. Take pictures. Bring your rod and fish in the pond. Or grab a life jacket and use our canoe. Have a glass of wine at sunset. Let our gardens be a respite from your busyness.

The Sunflower Suite is a private guest suite attached to the main farmhouse of Irvington Spring Farm. Guests enter through a private entrance with a personalized code at their convenience after check in. The unit shares an interior wall with the main house, and two locked doors separate the two spaces, but it's possible that you might hear activity in the other house during your stay. If this would be an issue for you, we recommend you check out the Rock Garden Room, or Lily Loft which don't share any walls with other spaces. Or, if you're traveling with others, you can reserve different units and have separation when you want it. The entire property can sleep 24 people. (You can find the other listings on our profile page, or message us and we'll send them to you.)

Here's what you can expect to find in the Sunflower Suite:

DOWNSTAIRS: large open room w/ smart TV, sofas, games, toy closet & kids play area, a library and desk. A futon and sleeper sofa can sleep up to 4 on this level. The drop leaf table behind the sofa can be used as a dining table for 8.

The spacious downstairs opens onto the beautiful back deck and yard where both kids and adults can play freely and enjoy the outdoors.
There is an office area and bookcase that has locked doors that connect to the kitchen of another unit, so you may hear activity on the other side of those doors.

UPSTAIRS:

-Private bedroom w/ queen bed, dresser & closet for hanging and storing clothes, sitting chair has the option to fold down into a small child-size bed for little ones.

-Full bathroom w/ tub/shower combo

-Loft area: brand new memory foam King bed, a small breakfast table, and a kitchenette complete with new fridge, dishware, coffee pot, and convection microwave for more cooking versatility with longer stays. (Please note, this is NOT a full-sized kitchen)

PARKING...

We have parking for up to 4 cars in our gravel cul-de-sac at the end of our driveway and an additional overflow parking lot.

CLIMATE CONTROL...

The suite is equipped with central heat and air. Guests control their temperature with thermostats upstairs and downstairs.

ABOUT THE FARM...

Irvington Spring Farm has been a family-owned working flower farm for the past 25 years. You'll find something new in the gardens or high tunnels each month - different things blooming, new things we're working on, the inevitable change of nature and the seasons. We're doing what we enjoy most: growing and selling flowers. Planting, weeding, cutting, and visiting with our guests bring us the greatest satisfaction.

If you'd like, you are welcome to buy flowers (March thru October) by the bunch or bucket from the farm's cooler by picking out what you would like, and leaving your money or check in the basket on the shelf near the door.

ITEMS TO NOTE:

There are no pets allowed in the guest suite. However, you may see our 3 cats and 1 dog that live in the main farmhouse.

POND WAIVER

If you plan to make use of the pond at the farm by fishing, swimming, or using the canoe and life jackets, we require guests to sign a waiver form. Just let us know when you make your reservation and our co-hosts will send that to you via email.

Friendship, fellowship, love...I create spaces for relationships to be nurtured. I live in Lynchburg with my husband, two kids, tiny dog, and huge cat. We live at a local boarding school where my husband teaches, and since we live on campus and don’t have our own home, I live vicariously by designing home-like spaces for others to enjoy. Find us on social media @abide.stays Cheers!
