Little home freshly refurbishised with a beautiful view and access to Delaware River. Huge lawn is great for frisbee or tossing a football. Walk down to the river and take a swim!

Home has many details like the shower tiled with rocks from the Delaware, fireplace, soapstone countertops, stainless steel appliances, antique washstand sink, skis repurposed as handrails, washer/dryer in unit, teak floors, and a play loft accessible only climbing across a 10 foot high net!

Full Home

This is a one room fully private home.

Columbia, NJ connects to Portland, PA via footbridge. Convenient to the Poconos with ski areas 20 minutes away and hiking and biking trails everywhere. The Delaware Water Gap is a beautiful area!

It's a 60 minute drive from NYC! Walk to bars, restaurants and more. Park in our driveway or on the street.

We are serial rennovators and we are in the process of replacing the back porch so you must exit through the front of the house to get to the back yard. Water straight from the tap is untreated so we recommend drinking bottled water and using the filtered water spigot on the sink for cooking and cleaning fruits/veggies. We will provide free beverages for our guests. Also, to help our guest disconnect, there is no WiFi or TV, just the river and plenty of nooks to relax and read a good book while surrounded by nature. We have an air conditioning until in the dining room, but loft and bedrooms only have ceiling fans.

Great little spot! Charming house with fun decor. My 8 year old son LOVED the net! We did, too! The coffee and snacks/drinks were a major plus for us!!!

Great little house to disconnect from everything and relax. We used the space as a base for scenic drives, hikes and waterfalls in the Delaware water gap. Then eating, reading and relaxing at night. There are lots of nice details that you don't normally get in some rentals.(beverages, small snacks, K-cups) The house has a nice mix of modern convieninces and old charm. If they do complete a deck off the bedroom it could be a game changer.

My girlfriend and I went to the river house for a quiet and relaxing weekend. The host Aaron and Tanya accommodated an early check in for us, had the house warmed upon arrival, with snacks on the table and drinks in the refrigerator. Highly recommend this quaint little house for a weekend away!

We loved Aaron and Tanya's place! My friends and I are filmmakers and we were looking for a weekend away from the city to get some editing done. Their house was perfect! There is a big, long table in the kitchen area, a cozy fireplace in the living room and a unique and comfortable net for lounging in the loft area. It was super cold outside when we stayed but the fireplace and extra space heaters kept us nice and toasty. The snacks were a great touch. Thank you!

I was looking for a weekend getaway to recharge without being alone in the middle of nowhere. And the River House was perfect. Aaron and Tanya generously provided drinking water, snacks, and firewood for the wood stove. The cabin is updated in appearances (beautiful kitchen, appliances, fixtures, floors, and furniture) but still rustic; it would have been quite cold without a fire going, but I went in fully expecting to bundle up with the weather so cold; the high was in the 20s. The space heater in the kitchen area kept it from getting too cold, and I mostly shut the door to the bedroom area to heat it with the woodstove and spent most of my time in there; it was almost 70F in the bedroom on Saturday. I put an extra comforter on the bed and was plenty warm at night. I enjoyed going out near the river to take photos (sunset over the water is stunning!) and liked seeing Portland. Found a few nice things at the thrift store and chocolate at the chocolate shop too. Wish I could say something nice about going antiquing, but I didn't venture out to Jakes Barn 15 minutes away until Sunday and they were closed. It looked great from the parking lot. There are a few houses directly across the street, but the blinds are easy to close for privacy, and I didn't hear any neighbors from inside. I could hear some road noise from rt 80, but it wasn't bad and I think was amplified greatly from the cold weather. The weekend was peaceful, calm and relaxing, and there were even some song birds chirping. It was sweet seeing a pair of geese hanging out near the waterfront; I was able to watch them from indoors with the binoculars on the mantle. I thinking this is a great location for a single person's retreat, and could definitely see coming back with my husband. The loft area is very cool, and I think my 5 year old would like it but would not recommend for my 2 year old yet. Maybe in a few years. Overall, I really loved this vacation. It was a perfect, quiet retreat and I wish I was still there!
