Set in an almost secret valley on the edge of Exmoor but only 8 miles from Taunton the Hoccombe valley is the place to unwind. At night the only noises are the hoot of owls the sound of running water from the mill stream and snuffling of nocturnal wildlife. On clear nights as there is no light pollution, the skies are inky black and dotted with a million stars. The cottage itself has the feel of country living whilst retaining the comfort of a modern home - light and airy in the summer -warm and cosy in the winter.
The modern paintings on the walls and the careful design of each room have been put together with an eye for style and comfort. The sitting room has French windows leading out to a terrace and the garden. The Mill house adjacent is the home of the owners who are on site if needed.
Parents of young children should be aware that there is both a river and a pond close to the cottage.

Really enjoying hosting in our totally separate holiday cottage, in what we think is the most beautiful valley, where we brought up our boys- we bought it for them and they still love coming home bringing friends in tow. Now we have new friends from all over the world coming to enjoy this hidden magical little piece of Somerset Countryside.
