I met Nana briefly upon arrival. I dealt with her two children who were very supportive throughout my stay. I enjoyed living in an "ordinary" neighborhood, and yet a mere ten minute bus ride to the city center. People are friendly. There are a number of good shops within a walking distance. The kitchen which includes two Le Creuset cooking pots, ranks among the better equipped I've come across. A memorable cultural experience. Highly recommended for anyone interested in getting an insight in Georgia.

A very nice place to stay in the Ortachala district of Tbilisi. It is quiet with a "village" feel, but also a very short bus ride to the center of Tbilisi. Well laid out small apartment, very secure. Very friendly and welcoming family but not intrusive. I stayed here for 4 months in this year (2016) and loved it.

First of all the district is impressive - its up on the hill with great Tbilisi view and looks like a country side but in the very centre of the city. Then Nana and her husband Tomaz - they are so intelligente interesting people guest loving in best georgian style! we want to come back! Thank you!

I stayed in Nana's apartment for ten days. It was very clean and modern and comfortable. Nana and her family were absolutely lovely and incredibly kind and hospitable. I would recommend the apartment.

A friend and I (I'm a Kiva Fellow in Azerbaijan, he is a Kiva Fellow in Armenia) rendezvoused in Tbilisi and stayed at this awesome B&B for 4 nights. It is a superb find for the money. The place is big and has all the accommodations. The 2 single beds are very comfortable, but couples take note that they stand at different sides of the room. The house stands on a hill with a great view of the hillside, further away from the center. There is access to a computer and wifi is available (requires a password - ask for it). The place is located within a 10 minute walk of the Ortachala long-distance bus station and a 25 minute walk of the Freedom Square. Buses and marshrutki that go anywhere in the city are numerous, and are a 5 min walk away. It takes about 7 Lari to get there from the train station and about 4-5 Lari to catch a ride from the center. Metro is far away, but quickly reachable (20 minutes) by bus and marshrutkas. When we stayed the owner, Nana, was away on a yearly trip to Scotland, where she teaches traditional Georgian song and dance to youngsters. From my email correspondence with Nana she seems like the nicest person (because of a mutual confusion she let us stay for the price of one person:-). Her husband Tamaz took great care of us. He showed us how to get everywhere, walked us places and was always a call away to offer advice. He's a very warm person. Nana speaks fluent English and Tamaz speaks fluent Russian, understands and can communicate in English. Note that it's $25 dollars for one person per day if one person stays or $20 per person per day if two people stay. Breakfast is available for $5 per person per day. Make sure to try Tamaz's wine and fruits from his house near Batumi. They are delicious! I will definitely stay again. Thank you for having us!

I'm from Georgia. Born in Western part of the country in a family of a long line of traditional music singers. I'm a professional musician and do some charity work to promote Georgian traditional music and help children in needs in Georgia. I often travel because of my work and enjoy to get familiar to cultures of other countries.
