When we arrived in Ferrara on a rainy Sunday and were uncertain as to how to get to the apartment, Beatrice and Fabio were nice enough to offer to pick us up and take us on a little drive to show us the city before bringing us to the apartment. The apartment is very well located to walk all over the old city -- on a quiet cobblestone street about two blocks from the cathedral and a block and a half from a good grocery. There are several restaurants nearby, including one in the next building. The apartment is on the second (European, third American) floor. There are good windows, the bedroom is average size with a comfortable bed, the living room quite large, the kitchen a bit small. The bathroom is good and has a washing machine, but it had been put out of working order by the previous tenant -- so Beatrice took our laundry twice in the time we were there and did it beautifully on her own machine for which we were most grateful. Beatrice and Fabio were very helpful. When we had a little trouble with the wi fi reception they had someone come in and adjust it for better reception. This is a very pleasant place to stay in Ferrara, we would stay there again and we recommend it.
We stayed in a private house owned by Beatrice and her husband, Fabian. They were extremely kind, generous, and lovely to be around. They gave us great recommendations on where to eat, what to see, and how to get there. They checked in on us and made us feel very much at home. They showed us the other house they rent, and it was equally as beautiful, comfortable, and best suited for our needs. Their whole family was so wonderful to us! Their place is the PERFECT house to stay in while in this magical and romantic city.
Lorenza
