South-facing self-contained garden house, double bed on unique hand-made wooden mezzanine with oak ladder stair access, kitchen, shower room, private patio, own entrance, in quiet country lane 5 miles from Newgale beach and Pembrokeshire coast path.
The garden house is a separate building at the bottom of our garden with a wooden sleeping loft in the rafters reached by a short, steep asymmetric oak ladder staircase. It is quite compact, with a shower room under the bed platform, kitchen with microwave and hob and seating area.
Accès des voyageurs
It has its own adjacent road parking space and entrance and a small outdoor seating area with table and chairs, screened from our garden.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
The garden house is self-contained if you prefer to stay private but if you'd like us to recommend places to go and things to see Pembrokeshire - or discuss travel, the weather, international politics - we are at the other end of the garden :-)
The ladder steps up to the sleeping loft might be tricky for anyone with limited mobility or bad knees and the sleeping platform is relatively open so unsuitable for anyone with vertigo! Guests use them at their own risk. Waste water is pumped away and the pump makes a whirring noise but only when the taps are running or the toilet is flushed, otherwise it's quiet. There is also a small woodburning stove in the Garden House, but please use carefully, and ask if you haven't used one before!
There is no TV but there is wi-fi, which although it isn't amazing, works with a little patience!
Please, no smoking in the house or garden, respect the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood and leave the place as clean and tidy as you find it. The Garden House is not suitable for pets.
We've lived in the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire for almost 30 years, bringing up a family and enjoying the coast path walks, quiet lanes for cycling, wonderful beaches and sense of history - happy to help airbnb guests to enjoy them too. Kath works at Cardiff University as lecturer in the History of Architecture, so also gets some city life, and Alan works with local community projects. We love to travel, the more off-beat the better. Haven't had a television for years, preferring to read, play games or listen to music and we're just as happy to be sociable or solitary as host or guest.
