Two Creek Hill is nestled in 3 private wooded acres, yet is only a 5 easy minute drive from Stowe Village. Wake to views of water, trees and mountains, spend the day skiing, hiking or biking or enjoying Stowe's many award winning restaurants, and finish in the hot tub or with a book by the fire.
A classic three-level chalet, Two Creek Hill was renovated at the end of 2014, and is furnished in a clean and comfortable modern rustic style. Every floor has at least one bedroom and full bathroom. All of the bedrooms have ample closet space and views of the surrounding woods. A brand new hot tub was installed in October 2015.
The Pinnacle Room, on the top floor, has a queen bed and en suite bathroom. A reading loft is right outside its door.
The main floor includes the kitchen, living and dining rooms, wood stove, wall-mounted flatscreen TV and two bedrooms – The Pond and Creek Rooms. Pond has a queen bed, while Creek has a twin size bunk bed suitable for both kids and adults.
The open plan of the living and dining rooms, loft and kitchen allows for easy conversation and mingling as you and your guests cook, eat, laugh and relax. The main level’s floor-to-ceiling windows bring in abundant light and natural beauty.
With a bench seat running its entire length, 8 lounge chairs, and patio table, the wraparound deck is designed for outdoor enjoyment. Pass lazy days with your feet propped up, and your glass and plate full. The large area is perfect for entertaining groups, or enjoying intimate moments looking out over the pond. During the warmer months, the deck truly serves as another living room.
The ground floor is centered on a large family room that features another flatscreen TV, Blu-ray/DVD player, wood stove, and provides access to the outdoor hot tub. The Birch bedroom is just off of this main room and contains a queen bed. The clothes washer and dryer are also on this floor.
This well-designed layout allows for maximum flexibility. Guests can share in each other's company in the common areas, and enjoy privacy and personal time in the different bedrooms and floors.
Accès des voyageurs
You will have the property to yourselves. You'll have access to all four bedrooms, the well-equipped kitchen, hot tub, wrap-around deck, pond, fire pit, wood stoves, satellite TV, satellite WiFi internet, and gas grill (as long as it's used only on the gravel area away from the structure. Wood house, fire, beer, you get the idea :-) ).
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We will communicate with you by email and/or phone to set up your reservation. Jim, A.J. and Christina, who take care of the house for us, are only a phone call or email away and can be there within 15 minutes if you have a plumbing, heating water or other issue. They can handle any contingency and are incredibly responsive. One of them comes by once a week to monitor and maintain the hot tub, and in winter they ensure that the driveway is plowed and sanded, but those are pretty much the only times you'll see anybody at the house outside of whomever you bring with you.
-25 Minimum age for rental
-Shaw's Grocery Store and Mac's Market are 8-10 minutes drive away, making it easy to pick up supplies when you arrive. You can get most everything you need in town, so no need to pack expedition style on the way up, but you might want to bring any specialty items with you.
-We are connected to a well, and as a result the water coming out of the tap sometimes has a slight sulphur smell. It's perfectly fine to drink (it's been tested and we guzzle it ourselves) but some folks prefer to bring bottled water.
-When we renovated, we put in all new appliances and fixtures that are Energy Star or Water Sense compliant. We also replaced all bulbs with LEDs and a few CFCs. We hope that you'll help us protect Vermont's beauty and resources by conserving as much as possible and recycling while you're at the Hill.
-For insurance reasons, we have to restrict the basic number of overnight guests on the property to 8.
-We truly love pets but one of us has severe allergies. We realize that it's hard to vacation without the fur babies (we really do get it), but please be respectful of these needs and don't try to sneak in a four-legged friend. This will result in immediate termination of your stay without refund.
-We don't allow smoking inside the house or near open doors and windows from the outside for the same reason (allergies). Please use the designated smoking areas outside and away from the house.
-We welcome groups and parties, but the neighborhood does not permit ragers. It is a residential area and neighbors will call the police if things go loud and late.
-No glass at all in the hot tub. Please. Broken glass requires that the entire tub be drained, vacuumed, cleaned, repaired (if needed) and refilled. You will be charged for all related costs. It's no fun for anyone.

We are lifelong travellers and our jobs take us overseas for several years at a time. For a long time we've been looking for a place to call home. We also wanted our daughter, who has no "hometown" of her own, to feel connected to at least one special spot in the world. After our first visit in 2010, we knew that Stowe was it.
After spending several summers here, we decided it was time to formally put down Vermont roots. We bought this property in 2014 and began our Two Creek Hill adventure.
We've stayed in a lot of hotels, beds and breakfasts and vacation rentals (and tents, hammocks, bunkers, and floors) over the years. We've tried to incorporate the aspects we've liked most about these different places (ok, maybe not the bunkers and floors) into Two Creek Hill's renovation and ethos.
We love the house and the area. More than any other place else we've lived, Stowe feels like home every time we return. We hate leaving. We hope you will be as happy here as we have been.
