Brie was very easily to deal with in terms of communication in advance of our stay. The main pro of this listing is its location - it is a very easy, few block, 5 minute walk to the main commercial area of Leavenworth - if you want to be walking distance to bars, restaurants and shops the location couldn't be better. The unit is 1 floor of a 2 floor building, and there is a separate house on the property (this unit is more in a converted garage or outbuilding). The neighborhood is quiet. The place itself is nice - a few small quirks (overhead lighting didn't work, but even with the other lights it still felt dark. one of the wall heaters also didn't work, but even with temps in the high 40s with the other 2 heaters we felt fine). The only tricky part was identifying how to access the building - there are several doors and the key is kept in a place that isn't obvious. We struggled with the host's instructions, so if you are arriving at night make sure to read in advance and ask questions. Mattress was firm but good in the bedroom, and hideaway couch bed also not bad considering it is a pullout. If the same price as a hotel, would choose a hotel, but would definitely stay here w/o reservation if town is crowded and things are full. Also a great base for hikes in surrounding forests/parks.
