Passive solar holiday house, very comfy beds, great deck with views over farm to mountain range, 10 min walk to town centre, part of Quamby Farm, all linen, fully self contained, just bring food! The King bed can be made into two King singles if requested prior to arrival.
Ant's Halls Gap House is the only place in Halls Gap where you can access to Quamby Farm, a third generation farm on the valley floor. Price is per couple per night. While the house easily and comfortably hosts 2 couples, the (steep) upstairs open plan loft can take up to another 4 guests on the 2 double futons there.

Quamby Farm and a wonderful 5 megalitre wetland. It goes without saying that Halls Gap is the heart of the Grampians.

We usually come up to see if you have settled in, sometimes with a basket of seasonal fresh veggies, eggs or fruit from our gardens.
There are always heaps of organic herbs to share,
fresh fruit from the trees (seasonal) and, if the chooks are on the lay, some free range eggs too.
Enjoy, relax or be adventurous in the hills, laugh, sing, sleep in or be out early, smell the flowers, dance in the rain, laze in the sunshine, snuggle up in front of the fire, watch the clouds sail overhead, eat good food, climb a mountain... you get the picture.
With my wife Melissa and daughters Sarah and Jessica we are the fourth generation of Mairs to live on Quamby Farm and so we feel a very close connection to this land. My grandfather ran sheep, cattle and some market gardens here and both my father and I attended the local primary school here. After time away for education, expeditions, armed service and a range of outdoor education and conservation jobs we have returned to develop the land along permaculture and organic principles. So far we have planted 10 000 trees, owner built our cool passive solar, environmental house and established a 5 megalitre wetland brimming with life. We are working towards self-sufficiency in food and energy while taking the occasional time out for an adventurous hike. Finally, we love sharing "our" mountains with family and guests so why don't you come up and enjoy this place too?
