Autres remarques

This is a two story house, and the stair case is the original stair case so it's a bit tiny. It's a tiny house after all. The main sleeping quadrant and bathroom is downstairs. There's an Ikea Queen bed on the upstairs.

Pet friendly house if house trained. However please bring doggie bed and refrain pet from getting on the bed as not all guest travels with pet. We do not want fur to get stuck to the comforters.

House is like a tiny home but a spacious tiny home! So we try to be as efficient as possible with the space, there is a little stairway that leads you down the main bedding and bathroom area.

We are a pet friendly cabin; however not all guest travel with pets, so we ask you to be courteous, only bring if they are trained and well behaved. Please pick up after your pet. to prevent fur shed on comforter, we prefer that you bring your own doggie bed. Any pet related cleaning fees will be $50-$100 if substantial pet mess has been left.

This place was beautiful, it was bigger than I expected. The area was very scenic and quaint, it was the perfect place to go for someone looking to get away from the "city life". Its within half an hour of big bear and lake arrowhead, so theres lots to do. The host Annie was so nice and responded to all our needs right away. We would definitely go back again.

We had a nice weekend in the area but found Annie's cabin to lack some basic necessities and had puzzling furnishings/quirks in abundance. There were no trash bags to be found, which rendered the trashcan useless. The bed in the kitchen/living room was extremely creaky and loud as a result of not being properly assembled, but the mattresses downstairs (2 instead of the one pictured) didn't have sheets- on them or in a closet. The downstairs has low ceilings and my 6'2 tall husband whacked his head on the bathroom doorframe several times. We would have appreciated somewhere to sit outside and enjoy the weather and location, but the "yard" is bare. The decor had us scratching our heads. A framed stock photo and coupon for prints hangs in a prominent spot in the living room. While other art leans against the wall on the floor. The lighting in the photos is great but I found the cabin to be very dark, even in the middle of the day. Some lamps are unplugged and/or missing bulbs. Too long of curtains adorn each window, gathering on the floor, concealing dead bugs. Most unsettling was the security camera sitting in the window- its presence announced, until you notice it. It wasn't all bad. The shower, wi-fi and Netflix were great. I'm confident that with a little thoughtful attention a stay at the cabin could be greatly improved for future guests.

Hi Jessica, Thank you for your feedback. To address some of your concerns: The trash bags are located to the left of the stove in the bottom drawer. The upstairs IKEA bed frame is designed to not need a box spring and therefore uses wooden slats under the mattress for support. The bed is assembled correctly but as you noted, may creak. The downstairs bed is the same as pictured in the listing, we simply added another bed alongside because some of our guests have more than 5 guests. The extra bed downstairs is only fitted with sheets and bedding if our guests will be booking with more than 2 people in an attempt to minimize unnecessary laundering. We appreciate your input on an outdoor seating area and will add that for our future guests. The property is located in a wooded area surrounded by large pine trees. The pine needles are raked frequently to minimize the chance of fire per the local association. We will add additional lighting upstairs per your request but do believe that the lighting is adequate with the blinds open and existing lights turned on. The downstairs living area is substantially lit as it was renovated several years ago. We are unsure what you mean by the unsettling security camera in the front window. We had used this camera in prior years when the cabin was not being used as a rental to notify us when someone was at the front door. The camera is currently not plugged in or mounted, so we are unsure why this is being mentioned in a review. In summary, thank you for your feedback. We offer one of the most affordable rentals in the area and feel that for the majority of our guests, the quality of the stay far exceeds the nightly rate.

It was our first family vacation in the long time. Cabin was great, we had every thing we needed. Place was clean, walking distance or 1 min drive to the the lake. Every one in the community was very friendly and accommodating. Annie is a great host she promptly responded to all our questions, I personally appreciate the fact that we had nothing unexpected surprises. We'll definitely will come again and stay at cozy little cabin. Thank you Annie.

This place was great for so many reasons. Privacy, quiet, more space than the pictures give justice. Close to the town and lake that the little community offers. Lots of very nice locals. We stayed for 5 nights and could not have enjoyed ourselves more. If you are looking to relax and unplug from your daily grind, this is the place to do it. We are definitely interested in visiting again.

There are definite pros and cons to this place: Pros: 1) If you like hiking and being away from people, this is a nice spot. The mountains and foliage are beautiful. 2) The house is mostly clean and has some cool features like a large shower. It's also pet friendly. 3) Owner is friendly and on top of communication. 4) Clean linens and towels. Cons: 1) The bugs. I expected spiders and moths etc. because you're basically out in the wilderness but the ants drove me insane. It kind of diminished the "vacation" feel of our stay. 2) The $15 extra charge for making more than one bed and the $80 cleaning fee. I didn't think, looking at the house, that $80 worth of cleaning happened before our arrival. I happened to talk to a local who knows the cleaning service used there and they don't charge that much. Hearing that was off putting... especially when we did our own dishes, put the towels in the hamper and were expected to take out the trash before we left, etc. 3) This has nothing to do with the accommodations, the house or the host but is a word of caution for anyone looking for a fun getaway: This is not the town to do it in. There is little to nothing to do here besides maybe wade in the lake or hike. There are very few stores, fewer decent restaurants and if you do happen to find one, it probably closes before sunset. Even the bars. If you're looking for a small "out of the way" place to relax and do nothing, then this is it, but if you're looking for more of an activity based vacation, look elsewhere.
