Hello travelers,
I have a comfortable and spacious three bedroom house available for short term stays. Local laws allow me to rent any two of these three bedrooms at a time, to a maximum of five guests. I'm very near a beautiful park, a nice grocery store, Max train (for quick trips downtown, or to PDX), and not far from larger business districts. Strong wifi, a well equipped kitchen, safe easy parking, and breakfast foods are included.

The house is a classic 1920's bungalow with elegant hardwoods throughout, plenty of built-in storage, your own designated and reliable wifi network, a wood-burning fireplace, back yard with a multi-variety bamboo hedge for added privacy, a well equipped, foodie-friendly kitchen, dishwasher, updated bathroom, a long driveway for off-street parking, and a covered back patio dining space with access to a large BBQ.

The upstairs is a quiet area, nicely insulated from downstairs sounds. There are two upstairs bedrooms plus two exterior closets. The west guest room is recently furnished with a firm queen-sized bed and nightstands on each side. The east guest room is furnished with a desk and chair, floor lamp, oodles of empty built-in shelving and drawers for storage as well as a futon couch which folds out into a full / double-sized bed and is topped with a new memory foam pad for added comfort. The master bedroom is on the main floor, has built-in closets, a queen-sized bed, and is conveniently situated right next to the bathroom.

Usually people prefer choosing the main floor bedroom plus the west bedroom upstairs, because those two have queen sized beds. I can easily set up a comfortable single cot or two in either one of those bedrooms, in the event that more than two beds are needed.

Included on each morning of your stay is a self-serve breakfast. Before you arrive I'll typically stock the kitchen with fresh organic apples and bananas, plus pears, plums mandarins or kiwis, depending on season, an assortment of cold cereals (also mostly organic or natural brands), milk or non-dairy milk by request, eggs, English muffins, organic freshly roasted and ground coffee, and a variety of teas (green, black, & herbal).

Guests traveling on business or in Portland for a wedding or other formal events will be glad to know that you'll have access to an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, and two full length mirrors.

I have lived in this house for fifteen years, and feel that I know the neighborhood and Portland in general quite well. Please let me know if I can answer any questions for you to help make your visit a grand one. Thanks for your interest in my bungalow.

Guests will have access to the driveway, the front and back yards, porch and patio, and the entire house, except for a couple of locked closets and the basement. Access to laundry facilities in the basement can be pre-arranged as needed.

This is my home and is not a place for hard partying. While prohibition is certainly not in effect here, and light revelry is welcome, anyone who is looking for a place to hole up and get super drunk and / or high is asked to look elsewhere. Damages caused by carelessly inebriated guests will be addressed via the security deposit, and will be reflected clearly in my airbnb review, but let's avoid all of that from the get go. At this point in time the house is not set up to accommodate any pets or rambunctious children. Immobile infants are just fine but please let me know the total number of people coming.

I have a strict policy against candles or indoor smoking of any kind. Smoking on the front porch or back patio is fine and i do have an outdoor ashtray.

I aim to keep the house a shoe-free zone. Please bring some comfortable slippers for your stay. This is my preference, especially in the wet season, but is not a deal-breaker for me should you require shoes for back support or something of that nature. Most of the floors are hardwoods so if a person does need to use shoes i ask that the soles be metal-free (no steel-toed boots, spiked heels, etc) and that in any case wet shoes be left at the door. Thanks for working with me on this. I think you'll find an added benefit in that the house stays cleaner for you to enjoy during your stay.

Please be sure to lock up all first floor windows and doors whenever you leave the house.

When leaving for the day during the colder season please try to remember to turn the heat off, or at least scroll the temperature down to around 60 - 62 degrees. Thanks!!

Feel free to leave the front porch light on the whole time you're here. It has an energy-saving function and only powers on when it's dark out.

Unless previously arranged with me people outside of the reservation count are not allowed inside of the house.

My cleaning fee is not exorbitant so please be kind and leave the place in similar condition to the way you found it. Don't worry about emptying trash or taking linens off the beds when you go, I'll take care of that, but it would be great if you could clean up spills or messes as they happen, and please wash all surfaces of any kitchenware used with hot soapy water. Thank you.

Abraham was a wonderful, thoughtful host! He already had a lot of breakfast goodies but went out and bought bagels and bananas when I said that our foursome liked them. He took the time to explain how things worked and even installed an air-conditioning unit in one of the upstairs rooms. (We happened to be there in 101° heat.) The house is beautiful, with easy access to the Max, New Seasons, and Peninsula Park. There are comfortable couches for lounging and a backyard permanent table, chairs and barbeue (which we didn't use). I heartily recommend this home.

Abraham and his property were not only pleasant but also exactly as expected. Clean older house with a lot of love and care put into it. Abraham was more than accommodating, meeting us at the property late at night for a tour after our drive up to Portland. The little notes around the property are great for communication and the house rules are very easy to maintain. The property is very close to a lot of what Portland has to offer. It is right off the freeway but there is no road noise in the house. The bedrooms were more than comfortable for the four of us (two couples) who stayed on the property. Off street parking was welcome in a new-to-us neighborhood but overall felt very safe. When we come back to Portland, we would be thrilled to work with Abraham again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great place to stay. Close to public transport which provides easy access to downtown. Abraham was a great host, he answered all emails promptly, which clear and concise instructions for check in. The house was clean, and had great spaces for four adults to eat, sleep and relax in. Would definitely stay there again.

Abraham is a thoughtful host with lots of extras for guests like bicycles, tourist information and generous breakfast options. House was clean and comfortable with flexible sleeping arrangements. Beautiful Peninsula Park is a short walk away.

The location makes getting to the freeway super easy. The house is big and pretty clean. Easily sleeps 4 singles or up to 6 if there are couples without having to sleep on couches.

Great weekend staying at Abrahams place with three of my friends. It is a beautiful house that is located a walkable distance to a wide range of food and bars. Everything was setup to be as welcoming as possible including the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, Portland guides, and more. To top it all off the sound system is amazing. 100% stay again.

We enjoyed our stay in Portland. There was a well stocked kitchen with stainless pans and sharp knives. Close to fantastic grocery store. Nice large living area with couches. My bed was very comfortable. Space heater on top floor worked well. Abraham was there to greet us and show us around.
