I have lived in Eugene approx 20 years. I was born in Los Angeles, Ca. but have lived in Colorado, Missouri, Texas, Washington State, California, Arizona and finally Oregon.. I moved to and Finished High School in Oregon and finally settled as an adult in Eugene.. I have 4 grown children, 2 daughters that are both married and living here in Eugene and 2 sons that are not married and live between here ( with me ) and around the world when they get the desire to travel again :) Currently my oldest son, Jacoby, 28 is here with me to HELP take care of the place and keep up as well as serve your visiting needs.
My past life includes having been a high style floral designer and have owned my own floral and gift shops, owned a Deli Restaurant in the past. Been in Real Estate, Mortgage Lending and now I am a marketing rep for a locally owned title and escrow company for the past 13 years. ( the best one in Eugene ) Proud to represent Locally owned.. I believe in supporting Local.
I have been an elected City council member and served a 4 year term. Politics are tough and I feel I served my turn but glad I had the experience.
For the past 13 years I have been very involved with our local Eugene Chamber of Commerce and recommend and support any small OR large business to be a chamber member. I have served on several chamber committees with currently serving on the Chamber Membership Council. Most recently I have become a new Volunteer for our Local American Red Cross. I will be at almost ALL Ducks football games, not only as a FAN but in my RED American Red Cross shirt and vest making sure all the other 50,000 fans are ok and safe in case of an emergency or accident while attending a game. I am a lover of the Arts and enjoy the local art walks monthly. Several of my close friends are dancers with the Eugene Ballet so I love to attend their productions and support them.
I have been very lucky and blessed to travel around the world and visited many different countries and cultures.. Im not done yet and have many more places to visit that are on my bucket list.
As far as my home, named by my kids and friends the Scarbrough Villa.. the reason is due to the fact it IS like a small Italian Villa or OLD Hollywood home but located in the south hills of Eugene.. Build in 1940's by a prominent Architect and his wife also an architect in the 30 and 40's, as their own residence… Originally on 120 acres at the top of sw eugene mountain. THIS home sight was one of the original Eugene homestead sights in Eugene in the 1800s and was the location for the original west eugene stagecoach stop heading towards the coast.. The original owner built this 5000 sf home with the style of Frank Lloyd Wright and still today there are many home features you can feel and tell are original designs that have been kept. The pool is an amazing feature and place to feel like you have gone back in time about 80 years as you relax and lounge in the sun OR if its raining, stay under shelter and enjoy the down pour without ever getting wet.
Currently the home is nestled on 10 acres, so the feel of country living is still very prevalent even among the neighbors close by and its only 5 minutes away of the Eugene hustle and bustle of a busy and growing community. EVERY thing is close, by from Shopping, fast food or fine dining or any UofO events that take place in Eugene year around.
I am a movie enthusiast. Music Lover. God fearing. Family guy. Community supporter. OPEN minded and a Groupie.
Also a "groups" supporter - feel free to enquire :)
