I have a home office upstairs and I am home most of the time in case you need anything. The easiest way to get my attention is to text me, even if I am in somewhere the house.
Our house is on one of the old Olmstead boulevards. It is a curving divided street with rhododendron and chestnuts growing in the median. Down the street in the next block is a café with limited grocery supplies. They have really good coffee and pastries.
More or less across the street from "Seven Café" is Candy Cane Lane which attracts a following around Christmas when it is all decorated.
We are just a block from Ravenna Park. It is a big park with grass fields, picnic tables, playground, tennis, and a natural forest ravine which makes you forget that you are in a city.
This is a quiet residential neighborhood despite being so close to the university.
We have many cafes, restaurants and pubs in walking distance.
To go downtown just walk Ravenna Blvd 4 blocks to University Way (The Ave) and take bus 45 or 71 to the new light rail station (subway) at Husky Stadium. The train brings you down town in 9 min. Bus 70 goes all the way downtown from 15th Ave NE (3 blocks away). For morning and afternoon commutes there is bus 74, only a block away, but it only runs certain times. To get to University of Washington you just walk or bike.
There is also a direct bus to Bellevue, not far away. Driving is relatively easy as we are close to freeways and also have many surface streets to choose from. We have car rentals nearby, and Taxi, Uber, and Car2Go are all available. Tell me where you want to go and I will tell you the best way.
We have a very friendly 11 year old dog. She is usually quiet all day, but acts as an extra door bell for me when someone is at our door. You would not meet the dog unless you ask to. The dog is locked away from the apartment.
We ask that you don't smoke in the house.
We do not allow pets.
Only the guests already approved at the booking are allowed to stay overnight.
We ask you to take your shoes off as you go into the studio.

I am originally from Sweden, but since 1985 I have lived in Seattle. My wife, Barbara, and I have a daughter here at home and a very friendly dog. We have lived in our house for about 30 years. We love to travel, we like skiing, good food a nice wine. We like to go to the theatre and shows. It is convenient that our house is relatively close to down town. I am happy to recommend places to visit during your stay in Seattle, just ask me. I have a home office where I work with real estate and loans.
