Description

Entire modern house to yourself, 5 minutes walk from Central Station on a quiet street in Sydney's best location--Surry Hills (edge of the city, next to 3 parks & cafes)

5 beds in 3bedrooms
+sofa beds
1.5 bathrooms
Parking Options

Location, location, location. This is the absolute best location in all of Sydney, on a quiet street in the heart of Surry Hills, Sydney's trendiest and most conveniently located suburb.
-5 minute walk to Museum & Central Stations
-2 blocks from Oxford Street
-3 blocks from Hyde Park & the city

-Luxurious (phone number hidden)ad-count sheets (rotating on the queen/double beds)

With extremely high sky-lit ceilings and two levels, the house has heritage charm with a modern feel. Like all properties this close to the city, space comes at a premium and the rooms are small and efficient. There are three bedrooms upstairs which can comfortably sleep 7 (in 5 proper beds in bedrooms). You're welcome to book additional people to sleep on the two couches and/or on additional mattresses on the floor if you don't mind close quarters and shared bathrooms.

Capacity: 9 People
1 Queen bed (master bedroom) - 2 people
1 Double bed (second bedroom) - 2 people
1 Single loft bed (same room as double) - 1p
2 single bunk-beds (in kids room) - 2p (1 each)
1 Sofa Bed - Double Bed - 2p
1 3-Seater Sofa for extra guests - 1p (1 long sofa + short sofa)
1 Foam mattress can be put in the lounge - 1p
1 baby's cot/crib

BEDROOMS
The master bedroom is reasonably sized with a queen-sized bed. The second bedroom is fairly small but comfortable with a double bed and a second double bed lofted, and the kids' bedroom is quite tiny but is no problem for two adults or children in bunk beds.

BATHROOMS
There's a modern but small full bathroom upstairs with a half bathroom downstairs behind the kitchen attached to the private courtyard. The bathroom has a shower but no bathtub for kids.

DINING TABLE
The dining table seats 8 people (default will be 6 chairs, but I can extend the table upon request and there are several stools for extra seats).

PARKING
There are several parking options if you're bringing a car, although a car isn't necessary in Sydney and it's actually more convenient to walk or use public transportation than to drive (the house is in an amazing location to get everywhere easily). If you do bring a car, there's:
- FREE 1 hour parking on the street in front of the house from 9am-9pm, and then it's free with no time limit overnight. The parking rangers only come a couple times per day and will mark your tyre with chalk so if you check your tyres from time to time you can move your car slightly and you'll be fine.
- FREE AFTERNOON Parking: there are two loading-zone spaces about 25 meters down the street, which are free after 4pm--so you can park there all afternoon and evening for free.
UNLIMITED FREE PARKING spaces 24 hours/day (2.5km away) on Lang Road. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps: 120 Lang Road, Moore Park NSW 2021.

- *SECURE GARAGE PARKING: $35/day It's also possible to park 1 car in the garage spot at my apartment across the street (I'll move my car to the street spots in Redfern) for $35/day(currently unavailable), or there's another public garage close by on goulburn/elizabeth. Come and go as often as you like (must remove car by 8am or it counts as an extra day).
- 4 HOUR Meter Parking: just 20 meters from the house on Campbell St at the Corner with Smith Street, there are several Metered parking spots with a 4 hour limit.
- Public Garage Parking: There is a paid garage on the corner of Elizabeth St and Goulburn St. The prices vary depending on the day.

- Come and go as you please.
- 3 parks withing 30 meters of the house
- 5 minute walk from both Central and Museum stations
- 2 blocks from Oxford Street (buses)
- 3 blocks from Hyde Park and the city
- Cafes & restaurants around every corner

You have the entire house to yourselves to come and go as you please. I live across the street so I may come by to see if you need anything.

Règlement intérieur
Non fumeur
Pas de fête ni de soirée
L'entrée dans les lieux se fait entre 15:00 et 02:00 (jour suivant)

- No parties
(Most of these rules are not relevant for families. The main theme is not to be noisy which bothers the neighbours)
- No visitors other than the number booked (to prevent parties)
- No music after 9pm
- No drinking at the house past 8:55pm (to prevent partying/noise)
- No hanging out in the courtyard past 9pm (sound carries to the neighbours)

- No hanging out on the street or porch in front of the house (it reminds the neighbours that they live next to an airbnb house with lots of guests coming & going)
- No talking on the phone on the porch/street in front of the house
- No waiting for a taxi/uber in front of the house (walk up the street)
- No smoking in the house, on the porch/street in front of the house, or in back courtyard. (There are 3 parks less than 40 meters away)
- Only whisper after midnight & no more than 4 people in a room after midinight (what seems like a normal volume becomes loud when several people try to talk over each other. Alcohal also makes people unaware of volume)
- No slamming doors
- No running up and down the stairs (the stairs are on a shared wall with another house and the sound travels through)

This is an awesome spot for a weekend away with several friends to enjoy the Surry Hills night life--and I want you to have a great time--just don't be stupid or obnoxious. Like 95% of airbnb’ers you are likely very responsible and unlikely to cause any trouble, but please pass this note on to the rest of your group about the house rules and do’s/don’ts in order not to lose your security deposit. Recent incident and example of what not to do: The main airbnb contact was a very responsible person (most responsible in the group, as is generally the case)—however, it’s your responsibility to explain the rules to the rest of your group. You will lose 100% of your security deposit if: -The neighbours call the police to complain -The police call me to complain -Neighbours call me to complain -You break any of the house rules on the airbnb listing. My airbnb house isn’t a secret from the neighbours but they don’t want to be bothered, which could cause me to have to have to quit airbnb.

If you're visiting Sydney for a party weekend, it's ok to have pre-drinks at the house until 8:30pm but then you need to go out to the bars, othewise it will be considered a party to the neighbours. Surry Hills is the trendiest neighbourhood in Sydney with the best bars so there's no reason you should want to drink in the house past 8:30pm anyway.

What’s not ok (you will lose 100% of your security deposit): (No parties) - Additional friends who aren't booked coming over for pre drinks.
-Drinking in the courtyard (the sound travels to the neighbours)
- Hanging out on the front porch or in the street in front of the house
- Waiting for a taxi/uber in front of the house (this draws a lot of attention to the fact that the neighbours live next to an airbnb house). Have them pick you up the street on the corner.
- Talking on the phone in front of the house (walk up the street)
- Smoking on the front porch, in front of the house, in the house, or in the back courtyard.
-Loitering/hanging out/drinking on the sidewalk/street/porch in front of the house. This includes smoking or taking phone calls out front where the neighbours can see you. You can hang out and talk on the phone and even drink in the back courtyard until 9pm. If you want to smoke, there are three parks within 30 meters of the house.
-Music/noise/talking after 9pm loud enough to hear it outside on the sidewalk or outside in the courtyard. Consider closing the windows to keep noise down.
-Leaving trash outside the house or in the street—especially bottles. To sum it up: don’t let the neighbours or the police notice that you’re there (other than quietly coming in and out) and don’t break anything. Make sure to explain the rules to your friends and make sure they know the door code and my number.

Please don't bother the neighbours

This lovely house is an excellent choice to stay if you want to discover Sydney without having to use taxi or long bus rides as many Sydney-Highligts are walking distance from the house. We are a family of 6 and it offered enough space for us, there was a babycot as well. Great communication with homeowner Ben made our visit to Sydney smooth and relaxing. Would definately like to visit again!

A lovely house in a great location, very clean and comfortable and as it implies walking distance to pretty much everywhere. The unique code is excellent especially when you have a few guests as you don't need to worry about keys and meet up times. Smart thinking B It's also a very quiet location with food and drinks nearby. I would definitely recommend Bs house to anyone one travelling to Sydney Thankyou. Denise

I'm a professional in my early 30's and I love traveling and exploring outdoors. I'm local to Sydney and really enjoy meeting international travelers coming through Sydney. It's one of the best cities in the world to live in.
