I live here in the house full time. There are 3 bedrooms available ~ Rent one room for $85/night with an additional $15 fee for each additional person in a room. Traveling with a larger party? Get a 'party price' and rent two rooms @ $150/night, add the third room (not a conventional bed) for $225. Price includes continental breakfast.
Surrounded by woods, private yet convenient to I-89; quaint downtown, which includes Chandler Center for the Arts; local college (VTC); and Gifford Medical Center.
Inside the house, your eyes will feast on soulfully eclectic decor. Luxuriate in the claw-foot tub in the bathroom shared by two upper-level guest rooms (showering in only the downstairs bedroom shared by the household). Step outside onto the extensive deck overlooking Adams Brook or meditate in the Zen garden. Take a hike into the peaceful fields for a panoramic sunset view, snowshoe along the brook, or even take in the stars around a campfire with your host. Breathe in the beauty surrounding this one-of-a-kind home.

With a few exceptions, and great respect, you're welcome to make yourself comfortable throughout the house and grounds. The deck is expansive and LOVELY on warm spring, summer and fall days! There is high-speed wireless internet and a house phone. The house lends itself to small groups and would be perfect for a small family reunion, or members of a wedding party.

Meet two of the friendliest cats on the planet: Milo & Indy. I hope you're not allergic! I am also a friendly sort, and enjoy good company, walks, snowshoes, or a x-country ski (I have a few extra pairs around of both the fore-mentioned), a campfire, or just a cup of tea or wine and some conversation with you as our time and your preference allows.
Just an FYI, I have also been a Reiki practitioner and teacher since 2015. The house is loaded with good energy! Spiritually orientated classes, or weekend-long healing get-a-ways, could be possible with enough advance notice.
There is other house space available if need be, that can be transformed to fit another one or two people to accommodate your larger party.
Thank you for choosing to stay here at Energy Rising with me, Milo and Indy. My rules are few and your ability to respect them will make your stay here most pleasurable.
This is a "shoes off at the door" and non-smoking household, it is also void of cheap beer so please leave any Budweiser products elsewhere. Please use coasters under your drinking glasses on the wood surfaces (there are lots of coasters around the house). Food, eating, and food-trash in the kitchen area only. Hooks and hangers are available in the rooms and bathrooms for damp towels - please use them ~ Avoid putting damp towels on bed surfaces, chair-backs or wooden bed posts. Toilet seat DOWN please! (the cats- Milo in particular - tends to jump up onto the toilet, then the sink for a drink of water (sorry for occasional paw prints)) - I DO CLEAN the sink FREQUENTLY! Turning lights and heating sources off when you leave a room helps me stay on top of my electric bill... and if you're the last one into the house for the night, please turn off the outside lights. Quiet time begins in the house at 10pm most nights. The noise in the house tends to travel, so please be aware of other people's need for rest while here. I may enjoy a weekly glass or wine or two - or a summer Guiness on the deck - but I do ask, for the safety of all involved, that you refrain from 'over-use' of alcohol while here (or drinking and driving on your way to get here). Thank you for respecting me, my community, my home, the nature here - this lovely space. Blessings and I hope to meet you soon.
